The two of them were taking a walk at that the backyard, after their conversation with Lu Fang. 

Lei Dong was too prideful to listen to any more of Lu Fang's advice, but he naturally heard them. He knew his mistakes, somehow, but did not know how to admit it. Still, he understood that he had to make this conversation with his daughter.

His words were cut by Xuilan's arms around his waist. He felt a lump in his throat the second she hugged him. He caressed her back as she said, "Dad, if it's okay with you. I don't want to talk about the past. What's important to me now is that you'll accept me - that we will be a family again."
