It was at his home when Darwin took a shower. He left Anna with his mother in the living room for a chat.

"Oh, Anna, dear. I am so happy you two are finally together. You know, you were the first girl he brought here after his ex-fiance - Heather, I believe was her name," said Darwin's mother as she brought a pitcher of juice for them to share along with some drinking glasses. 

"I thought he will never be in a relationship ever again."

'Ah, here we go again. Heather. 'At some point, Anna wondered if she could ever level up with the woman who had owned Darwin's heart for years. She looked down at her hands, thinking about how Darwin had told about his past. 

Seeing Dorothy pour juice for her, she offered, "Let me help you with that, Mrs. Clark."

"Well, it won't be long until you also hold that title, dear," said Darwin's mother with a wide grin on her face. She leaned back in her chair and accepted a glass from Anna.
