章節 11: Family Dinner 2
"Welcome to the Choi Abode!" A line of maids and butlers welcomed them.
Athena bore Hexie Wu's iconic ice-cold resting bitch face and nodded.
Although inwardly, she was fawning over the magnificent architecture and oriental ornaments. Even the plants here are exotic and luxurious looking. She stopped her urge from touching the beautiful orchids and walked inside the mansion.
Li Lifen linked arms with her daughter. Although it looked like she was a mother hen protecting her child, it was to prevent her daughter from being clumsy.
When they finally arrived at the main living room, they were greeted by two beautiful beings. Athena felt her mom unlinked her arms and moved towards a pretty mixed lady dressed in a modern kimono dress.
"Lili-chan!"
"Koko-chan!"
The two women hugged each other, while the two men shake their hands.
"Welcome to our humble home, Brother George!"
"We'll be in your care!"
"Oh my! It has been ages since we last met! You're aging backwards!" The other woman complimented.
"And you my dear best friend, aged like fine wine! You're gorgeous!" Her mom gushed. The two chatted a bit until the lady spotted Athena standing behind Huang Wu.
"Oh my, Hexie-er, come and greet your fiance's parents," Li Linfeng urged. Li Linfeng's eyes became sharp making Athena more cautious to her actions.
"Greetings to Mr. and Mrs. Choi! I am Athena Hexie Wu, and I am honored to meet you!" Athena bowed somewhat gracefully.
"Oh please, Hexie-chan. I'm Kotone Marie Tanaka-Choi but please call me Mommy!" Mrs. Choi joyfully introduced herself and hugged Athena.
"I'm Choi Kazuki's father, Choi Hajoon. Don't hesitate to call us Mommy and Daddy," President Choi smiled warmly.
"Yes...Mommy, Daddy." Athena smiled. Her fear slightly diminished.
"Oooh so that's Mochi-chan!" A little kid's voice was heard at the side of the room. Everyone looked at the cute kid wearing a white tuxedo behind the curtain.
"Chiro-ya!? Why are you hiding over there? Come and greet your sister-in-law. " Mrs. Choi dragged her youngest towards the living room.
"Eh? But I was with big bro-- where did he go??" He mumbled.
"Ahh, forgive my youngest's behavior. He's just excited to meet you Hexie-chan! It's Hexie-chan, Chiro-ya, not Mochi-chan. It's not good calling people's name by food."
"But noona really looks like a Mochi!" The kid protested.
Athena's eyes twitched at the little kid's remarks. 'Do I really look like a glutinous rice cake?'
"It's alright err..Mommy. Hi! I'm Athena Hexie Wu. Nice to meet you!" Athena bowed towards the kid.
"Hello, noona! Choi Kichiro at your service!" The kid kissed Athena's right hand. Athena's smile faltered. This little boy will be able to surpass the Male Lead's charisma when he grows up.
She was somehow amused by the kid and warmed up to him that she crouched down and ruffled his hair.
"Aish! Mochi-chan! You're ruining my hair! You and big brother are the same!" He stomped off while Athena giggled.
"What a cute kid," She beamed.
"Kyaaah! Hexie-chan is more beautiful when she smiles! Lili-chan! You are blessed to have this daughter! I can't wait for the wedding! And my grand kids! Aigoo~" Kotone started gushing and almost fainted luckily President Choi caught her in time.
"Jagiya! Aish! Please, excuse my wife's behavior. She's just..um..excited too to finally meet her daughter-in-law in person," Hajoon couldn't bring himself to say that his wife has finally have a plump daughter. Kotone's chubby fetish is both cute and awkward to him. The Wu's only laughed and brushed it aside.
"Oh dear me! How embarrassing. Please forgive me Lin-chan, George-San and Hexie-chan. Hmmm...how about we head on to the dining room!" Kotone finally regained her senses as Choi Hajoon held her.
The Wu couple followed, and Athena trailed after them. But she soon stopped her tracks when she saw a white grand piano in the center of a room leading to another garden. This body have strong affinity towards classical instruments.
A surge of memories flooded her mind. It was the memory from Athena Hexie Wu's winning performance at the Legendary Piano contest. Although she won, she had no one to rejoice with, as her parents at that time were busy with their works. They only sent her a bouquet with a 'Congratulations' card.
When she snapped back to reality, tears were trickling to her cheeks and she was on the piano playing the last part of what sounds like Claude Debussy's Claire de Lune. Her hands stopped playing after she pushed the wrong note.
'Oof. That was a bad memory. No wonder this character was easily manipulated, she was just kid yearning for familial love. That's enough flashbacks for me'.
"Can't believe you won that contest with that sloppy hands you have." A deep voice was heard behind her.
She looked back and saw a dazzling and ethereally handsome young man wearing a slick black suit and tie. He exudes an aura of a young emperor and his eyes bore an icy gaze.
"B?" She breathed. He looked like the guy from the famous idol group VTS.
But Athena somehow didn't feel so well around the handsome young man.
"Oh umm, I'm sorry for using the piano. I'm Athena Hexie Wu, and I'm a guest. I got distracted by the grand piano and now I lost track where the dining room is," Athena awkwardly apologized and hastily backed away from the piano.
She felt the temperature drop and his gaze was really cold. He suddenly smirked and her blood ran cold when he said,
"Third Young Lady Wu, we finally met. I'm your fiancè, Choi Kazuki."
