Well apart from completely stealing the spotlight at the piano competition and getting one hell of a headache from Saki, then I do believe that Friday afternoon was rather entertaining.
-After the piano competition, outside the hall-
Saki: "So, you didn't just interrupt my son's chance to prove himself... but you also played in such a way that I, your bloody teacher, had never heard before?!" Saki was holding my collar tightly with a very dangerous smile and look in her eyes.
Rei: "Well... I just got a little carried away..."
Saki: "I see... a little bit carried away..." Her smile doesn't disappear but she lets go of my collar.
"Since you got a little bit carried away, then how about you repent for it a little?"
Rei: "Your words are a bit worrying..." I said that though I doubt it's going to be that bad.
Saki: "You just have to take in two students that's all, one of them is Kousei of course and the other... well let's just say it's someone I have taken an interest in."
Just like I thought, her request wasn't so bad... if not for the fact that I'm extremely busy these days.
Saki: "Oh right, don't forget about tomorrow's party ok?" She shouted as she was leaving the building.
Rei: "Don't worry, I've got it covered." I give her a reassuring smile to which she nods.
Just when I was about to leave as well I felt a hand touching my shoulder from behind, so I look around only to see Chitoge behind me.
Rei: "Hey Chitoge, is there something you want to talk to me about?" I said that because I noticed that she was a little fidgety.
Chitoge: "Well the guys back home are starting to doubt our fake relationship a little... and when they asked me anything about it I panicked and told them that we have a date planned on Sunday."
When she finished speaking she bowed her head slightly in an apologetic manner.
Rei: "You did good Chitoge, don't worry about it. I'll pick you up at around 12 from the house and we can go shopping on Sunday, how about it?"
Chitoge: "That seems like fun... and your performance was amazing Rei! Why did you become a teacher, you could have become a great pianist couldn't you?" She asked with a bit of frustration.
Rei: "It just simply wasn't really my calling Chitoge, and I very much enjoy teaching actually. It also taught me a lot about human potential, behaviour and the uniqueness of the individual."
I smiled at her while giving my reasons but she still didn't seem to accept them.
Chitoge: "To everyone else it looks a bit like a wasted youth... don't you want to have fun while you're young?"
She asked again and this time looked into my eyes to judge the next answer.
Rei: "This is fun for me Chitoge, wether you believe me or not, I find teaching the same generation pretty entertaining."
I chuckle afterwards remembering how I can change pretty much everyone's paths and how I can give them the future they truly deserve.
Chitoge sighed and dropped the subject since my future is my choice and you can't change someone's career choice easily can you.
Rei: "I'll see you on Sunday then?" I was about to offer her a ride home but remembered her driver.
Chitoge: "Yeah I guess... see you on Sunday." She reluctantly made her way to the limousine waiting outside while I left for my car.
-Next day(Saturday)-
I drive to the address given to me by Nariyuki and the closer I got the more the houses seemed to shrink and turn into pretty much shacks.
The roar of my sports car alerted every kid in the neighbourhood and kids of all different sizes rushed out of their houses to point at and admire the vehicle.
"Guys come back inside, you didn't finish your breakfast yet!" I hear a familiar yell coming from behind a pair of running elementary school children.
One of the children was a little girl with short pigtails while the other looked just like a mini Nariyuki.
"But Nee-san, look at that car! It's so cool!" The little boy pointed in my direction and I can now see who the Nee-san was-None their than Nariyuki.
Nariyuki: "What car- Mr Ichijo! You've arrived a little early, sorry about the inconvenience but can you come inside while I finish coke chores?" He spoke apologetically and dusted his apron.
Rei: "There's still about half an hour until the others arrive, so why not." I walk to the trio of siblings as the two younger ones look at me with curiosity.
"Nee-san your teacher is so cool!" The younger brother shouted and ran around me as he was scanning my appearance, tattoos showing as I was wearing a t-shirt.
Rei: "It's fine to ask Yuiga, I don't mind at all." I notice that he was also surprised at my tattoos and kept glancing at them from the corner of his eye.
Nariyuki: "*cough* I'm sorry Mr Ichijo, I didn't mean to-" I stopped him with a slap on the shoulder.
Rei: "It's human nature to be curious, don't kick yourself over it. Ask whatever you want, I don't mind." I said the later part while looking at his younger siblings, who were eyeing my with starry eyes.
"Mommy says only gangsters have tattoos, are you a gangster?" The little girl spoke this time.
Rei: "Yes, but don't worry since I'm a good gangster." I wink at them while they widen their eyes
"But mommy told us not to trust any gangsters..." the girl continued.
Rei: "Yes, that applies to bad gangsters. Since I'm a good gangster the rule doesn't apply."
Seems like my words only confused her further, her bewildered face making both me and Nariyuki chuckle.
Nariyuki: "Sir I was just about to start breakfast, do you want to join us?" At his words his younger siblings grabbed my trousers and looked at me with expecting eyes.
"Rei: "You know what Yuiga, why don't you take a break. Let me handle breakfast while you get your notes ready, I'm a pretty cool I'll have you know."
Nariyuki: "No way sir, I can't have-"
Rei: "I insist, you won't be able to study properly if you work yourself like this." I put a hand on his shoulder and smile.
Nariyuki: "I-if you insist sir." He replied with a worried face.
Rei: "Are you going to lead me inside or..."
"Come with us mister, we'll take you." His brother and sister lead me by the hand to an old looking Japanese style bungalow.
The inside walls were thin cloth fusama and from this one aspect I could guess the economic status of this family.
I was taken to the kitchen which at first appeared a little messy but considering the baby brother and sister I wasn't so surprised.
Nariyuki was going to clean it up but of course I didn't let him and quickly told him to just get ready for the tuition session.
In the kitchen I found everything necessary to make a healthy omelet though the lack of ingredients at first proved to be a little problem I still worked around it.
"Mmm! That smells so good, is breakfast ready mister?" The little brother entered the kitchen with a drooling expression.
Rei: "Just another 2 minutes, why don't you get everyone to the dining table." I ruffle his hair and he ran out to complete the job I gave him.
"Nariyuki, I didn't know you could cook so well!" I heard the voice of a woman this time coming from outside the kitchen.
I turned around and saw Nariyuki's mother along with his other younger sister, both surprised at me being in their kitchen.
Rei: "Where are my manners, my name is Ichijo Rei, I am Yuiga Nariyuki's tutor. You must be his older sister?" I ask his mother since she looked so youthful.
Hanae: "*chuckle* I'm his mother actually. A pleasure to meet you Mr Ichijo, my name is Yuiga Hanae."
After a pause she then put her hands in the middle school looking girl's shoulder, giving it a little pinch.
"Ouch! I'm sorry, I'm Yuiga Mizuki, nice to meet you Mr Ichijo..." the girl spoke while rubbing her shoulder.
Rei: "A pleasure to meet the both of you, why don't you head to the living room since breakfast is almost ready?" Both mother and daughter were fascinated at the way he was cooking, finding it a little hard to leave.
Apologies for no chapters recently, just been a little busy.
