章節 53: THE ANNOUNCEMENT

Seeing that the grubby guy was waiving at them seemingly undisturbed to the filth dangling all over his body, the master and cat duo stared at each other with twitching face.

"Hold on, just give me a minute here,"

he said as he casually waves his want over his body. Just like how a security guard in a mall's entrance use to scan one's body using his baton.

" NERÁIDA SKÓNI VOÚRTSA KATHARÍZO ÓLA ME TI MÍA" he chanted lengthily.

Sparkling dust shrouded his entire body. When the glimmer subsided, the thief was back to his dashing appearance once more.

"Hi there, by the way, my name is Yuan Tao. You are??????"

He introduces himself as he extended his right arm intending to have a handshake. But Mu Lingxi snob his intention and turn away.

"MEOW"

[Hey little lass, why don't we have a chat first with that little lad over there???]

"Do you honestly want me to have a chat with that thief??!"

"MEOW"

[Why not???? He can also cast spell??? Maybe he can help us find that Magus Academia. Don't you want to learn magic anymore????]

"Hmph! We can just look around for that information somewhere else. I don't wish to have any kind of connection with that thief!"

Knowing his master was hard-headed as a rock whenever she chooses to play stubborn, Janus decided not to persuade her anymore.

Soon they went back to the market. Mu Lingxi was planning to rent a decent carriage and a couch man as well to send them off completely away from the city.

Yet as soon as they reach the busy market, they saw more and more people were going in one direction.

She grabs the hand of the one passing her way.

"What's going on????"

The man who she just grabs was slightly stunned to see a beautiful lady talking to him. And what makes the girl opposite him more attractive, is the little black cat sitting on its shoulder.

He swallowed a mouthful of saliva before he answered,

"The royal highness has a piece of important news to announce and it was posted in the plaza."

He said while trying to avert his eyes. He was too shy to stare at those beautiful brown big eyes of a doll.

Mu Lingxi's intuition tells her that she's not going to like whatever kind of announcement is that. But still, she decided to check it out.

When she saw what was posted in the plaza, she instantly regretted her decision of following the crowd. Because it was her face that was posted on the wall together with a note indicating the monetary reward of 50,000 gold coins for whoever can bring the missing young miss back.

She tried her best to blend in the crowd, slowly making her way towards the nearest alley. She even furtively stuffed her cat beneath her sleeves.

But before she could successfully escape someone noticed her.

"Look! She's here!!!!"

An old man pointed his finger to where Mu Lingxi is, and he was grinning from ear to ear. Showing his yellowish and crooked teeth.

"It was her! Quick! Get her here!"

Another person in the mob shouted. More and more people are now looking at Mu Lingxi's direction, menacingly.

Mu Lingxi right now was akin to a lamb being surrounded by hungry packs of wolves.

Before they could start thinking about how to catch the poor little girl, she already sprinted towards the small alley.

She wonders why she can't imitate what she did back there in the forest.

"Damn this adrenaline!!! Why is it not kicking this time?!!!!"

She cursed under her breath as she runs for her life. A mob was running right after her.

She already lost count of how many turns she did. All she knew is she had to run, and run and run.
