When Su Yuchen returned to his room, Xin Mei was already lying on her side of the bed, with eyes closed. He climbed on the bed and took his seat behind her.

He gently wrapped his arm around her waist which was thrown away by Xin Mei.

"You don't need to touch me, your wife who has a very small brain." She mocked and Su Yuchen sighed.

"Mei, I am sorry for yelling at you like that." He apologized guiltily. "But you have to understand. My relationship with Jiang family is something about whom I do not want to talk with you. I am afraid you will start to hate me after knowing about what we had in the past."

"I will not hate you." She turned and looked at him. "Try to tell me. I am sure I will not hate you."

Su Yuchen looked down and did not say a word. Xin Mei sighed and shook her head. She turned her face to the other side and attempted to sleep.

That night, both Xin Mei and Su Yuchen were unable to fall asleep.
