To accompany her parents, Kenichi let Cha to take days off from the entire three weeks. Last week, Her immediate manager asked her to come to his home for christmas lunch, of course she rejected it politely. She did not tell Keinichi about it since she did not want to create disharmony between them.
On wednesday night, She and Mrs Feng baked cake at night. Keinichi did not suspect anything. He thought it was normal because his mother in law loved cooking and feeding them.
"Darling, what time will you be home tomorrow ?" She asked before they went to bed.
"Nothing much to do. I should be home before 5. why ? Do you have any plan to go out ?"
"No. Just make sure you come home straightaway, ok ?"
"Definately"
On Thursday, Keinichi had a normal day. He conducted two meeting in the morning and ensured every documents that had to be signed were done. At 4 O'clock, he left his office. It was his birthday but No one in the office wished him happy birthday, the worst was he did not even aware that it was his birthday.
At home, Cacha and her parents were very busy. Mr and Mrs Feng cooked six different kinds of menu. Cacha helped them little bit because she had to decorate his birthday cake.
Just pass 4 o'clock, Ren and Elena were the first to come, with Yu and Kuro followed closely. Jun was the last to come, It was not easy for him to sneak out before his boss.
"What is the today occasion ?" Elena asked Cacha.
"Don't you guys know that today is his birthday"
"Really ?"
Cacha nodded.
All but Kuro and Ren knew about it.
Elena signed, No wonder Ren especially bought very expensive wine. He said it was for Kenichi.
"It's half pass four already. I need to dress up" Cacha ran to her room. She put her best clothes, put a little make-up and arranged her hair nicely.
She looked at her reflexion on the mirror before went back downstairs.
"Mum, do I look good ?"
Mrs Feng smiled "Yes"
Elana twitched "look at you !! Madam, your daughter is too much"
"Elana, just address my parents as uncle and aunty. ah I forgot to introduce you guys" Cacha pulled her parents to sit down and introduced every one.
Kenichi arrived home just shortly after 5. He was stunned to see Kuro, Ren, Elena, Yu and Jun in his home "What are you guys doing here ?"
"Oh.. I invited them" Cacha smiled.
"what for ?" He hugged her by her waist and pecked her lips "why do you dress up so beautifully today ?"
"It's for you"
"For me ?"
She smiled and kissed his lips "Happy birthday my darling"
"what ?" Kenichi was bewildered "What date is today ?"
"Hey.. stop pretending, it's Christmas eve, your birthday" Kuro rolled his eyes
He laughed "thank you my dear" he kissed her again for while.
"Hey stop !!" Ren distrubed the couple moment "Bro, your mother and father in law are here. Please behave properly" He teased the birthday boy.
"Happy birthday Kenichi" Mrs Feng smiled and gave him a box wrap in blue paper "It's small present from us, we don't know if you like it or not"
Kenichi smiled. He took the present with trembled hands "Thank you. I'm sure I like it" He hugged Mrs Feng then Mr feng "Thank you dad"
"Go, change your clothes then we can cut the cake" Mr Feng said.
Kenichi went to his room. He took off this clothes and changed it to confortable clothes. He stared at his present and opened it. It was a white knitted wool sweater. It was winter, sweater was essential so he decided to wear it. Iy fitted him very well, it also was nice and warm.
He went downstair again. "mum, dad. Thank you, it fit me well"
"That's wonderfull" Mr and Mrs Feng were delighted "Come here, blow the candle and cut the cake"
When he saw his cake, he understood why Cacha and Mrs Feng baked cake last night. He embraced Cacha and kissed her "Babe, Thank you"
"hey Hurry up !! the candles are melted" Kuro urged.
They sang happy birthday song but before he blew the candle, Jun stopped him "wait, sister in law, you should sit with him"
"babe, come here" he patted the empty spot next to him
"woooo" Every one chorused together while Elena pulled Cacha and pushed her to sit.
After taking countless picture together. Elena stared at the cake "what kind of cake is it ?"
"it's sponge cake with coffee flavour" Cacha said.
"sister in law, where did you buy it ?"Jun asked
"My mum and me made it"
"Wow !! bro, you are so lucky. How many man in this world have an honour to make his Wife and mother in law hand bake his birthday cake?" Jun exclaimed laudly in japanese.
"He's definately not you but me " he said proudly
"Lets have dinner first"
while everyone in dinning table, Cacha said proudly "These all were made my my lovely mother with my father and my help. Please enjoy"
"Looks yummy" Kuro ate without waiting any longer then the rest followed him.
Kenichi stared at the food on the table. He was overwhelm with happiness. He could not remember if his parents ever celebrated his birthday. But today, the mother and father of his lover personally cooked for him. He stood up and hugged Mr and Mrs Feng who sat next to each other from behind "Thank you so much. thank you. It's very wonderful night for me".
"Our pleasure. Lets enjoy the meal now" Mr and Mrs Feng patted his shoulders.
"yes" He walked back to his seat. when he was sure that no one payed attention to him, he wiped the small drop of tear at the corner of his eyes.
After dinner, they continued with some drink. Yu opened wine that Ren and kuro brought and poured to glasses before he handed out to everyone. Even Mr and Mrs Feng who did not drink alcohol much, drank. Kuro and Ren, each of them brought two bottles of wine, all of then was opend and drained.
Mr Feng glanced at the clock. It was few minutes before 10 O'clock. The youngsters were still on without any sign to leave "It's late now. We are older generation could not sleep late especially in this weather. You guys just continue"
He held his wife hand and went back to their room.
As soon as they couple were off to their bed, Kenichi kicked the rest out of his place. Once the guests had gone, Kenichi amd Cacha went to his room.
Cacha threw her self to the bed without removing her make us or change her dress. He sat next to her and kissed her passionately "Babe, thank you for tonight" .
"Are you happy with our surprise ?"
"I am really really happy"
She smiled and kissed him once again "Happy birthday ! I'll give my present tomorrow. I'm so tired"
"Hey.. change your clothes first. Do you want me to do it for you ?"
"I'll do it"
Kenichi giggled when he saw how fast she took her clothes and went to the bathroom. He went to the window and peeped outside. It was snowing, yes his birthday was on winter, very cold season. But today it was very warm night for him. He wished it always be like this for the rest of his time.
