Nick came to his parents house to fetch Kenichi and drove him to his appointment place.
"Sorry for the trouble" Kenichi said as they were on the way.
"No drama"
"Bro, what is Cacha favourite cake ? where can I buy it ?"
Nick smiled "Is it for her birthday? Please, let My wife prepares it. This year is her only chance to spoil our little sister. From next year onward, it's your turned"
Kenichi smiled "they are very close, aren't they ?"
"Mm. I am so lucky, my wife is very vlose with my mum and my sisters. Otherwise, I'm in peril"
Kenichi laughed "Is it also dad birthday right ?"
"Dad's was 10 days ago. We are going to have family dinner tomorrow and the day after, we are going to have Yumcha with few of Dad closed friends. What is your plan ? are you going to marry my sister soon ?"
Keinichi smiled "In a year time, I need to prepare everything. As husband, we have to takw full responsibility of our wife, are we ?"
Nick laughed "She will get bored at home. By the way, is she going to work for you ?"
Kenichi was stunned. He did not expect this man was so smart "How do you know ?"
Nick laughed "getting a job in foreign country is not easy unless" he glanced at Kenichi.
"Well, I need some one in that role. No harm to let her try, she is professional in her field"
Nick nodded as sign og agreement "You have to look after my sister well. she is not mature enough"
"without any one ask me, I'll"
"We are here" Nick parked his car on the car park "Your building is the second on the right. I am going to the one accross the road. Just wait for me there, I should be free by 13. If you are bored, there is a small shopping area over there"
"Alright, thanks bro. See you later"
"See ya. Remember, don't sign anything before you discuss it with Sean"
"Thanks"
It did not take long time for Kenichi to conclude his meeting. He lost his interest to take over the project. His brothers in law were right, their bulding was not as what he expected. Since it was still over an hour until mid day, he used his free time to stroll around.
He came across a bakery shop which sold a small cholocate cake with cute decorations on it. Eventhough Nick said his wife had prepared it, Kenichi felt it was his obligation to prepare birthday cake for his sweetheart, so He bought one.
After He bought the cake, he went to the meeting place thay nick told him. He ordered light refreshment whilr hr was doing his work from his Ipad.
"How's the meeting ?" Nick tapped Kenichi shoulder and sat next to him.
Kenichi peeped on the clock on his Ipad, He was amazed that Nick was punctual "after considering the pros and cons,I decided to back off"
"Lets go. I'll take you back home first"
"Thanks Bro, sorry for the trouble"
At mid night, Kenichi sent text message to Cacha.
"Are you sleeping yet ?"
Cacha who was nearly doze off was woken up by the notification sound. She replied 'nearly'
'Can you open the door for me ?'
'It's not locked'
Cacha waited for few second but there was no reply. She was about to get up when her bedroom door was opened slowly.
"Oniichan ?!" She said softly.
Kenichi smiled and walked to her. It was dark, so she didn't see when he put something on the table next to her bed.
"Happy b'day, Babe" he kissed her.
"Thank you. Is there any present for me ?"
Kenichi turned on the bed side lamp and pointed at the cake next to it.
She giggle "So cute"
"I am not sure if the taste is good as well. I just bought it from random shop. Lets blow the candle" He lit the candle up and brought it closer to her "Make a wish first".
She smiled and closed her eyes before blew the candle "Is there any spoon ?"
He chuckled and handed her a small plastic spoon "We have to have at least half an hour morning jog tomorrow"
"It's my birthday. Let me off, ok ?"
'No. you are lazy"
"Come on oniichan, just this time, ok ?Lets eat this cake, and you, have some as well" She spooned a small portion and brought to his lips
"Nah.. it's to sweet"
"Please try, It's my birthday cake.We have to share the joy"
He signed as reluctantly opened his mouth. He only had one spoon and she finished the rest.
"Thank you oniichan. for being the first one wished me happy birthday" She hugged him while they were sitting on her bed.
"My pleasure. I hope we can celebrate each other birthday every year like this until we are old"
"We will"
He expected her to ask again if he had birthday present for her. But after waiting for while, he did not hear any.
"Babe, do you want more present ?"
She left his chest and stared at him with twinkled eyes "do you have more ? give it to me !"
"Closed you eyes " He leaned over and gave her a long and hot kiss "Happy ?"
She pushed him "Annoying" but the smile in her face showed otherwise.
He laughed. His hand took a velvet box from his pocket. He opened it and showed it "Do like it ?"
she smiled and picked it up "It's beautiful, like flower"
"For me, it looks like sun. You are the sun in my life" He took it from her hand and put in on her neck "You have to wear it from now on and never allow to take it off"
"definitely. Thank you" She kissed his lips.
"Oniichan, can I have one more present ?"
Ge pinched her cheek lightly "You are getting greedy. what is it ?"
"stay with me until I fall a sleep"
"What if mum or dad see us"
"They normally wake up at 4 and rarely come up unless we asked them to wake us up"
"Alright then. Worst case scenario, I just marry you next week"
