章節 46: Dad I Like Rohit Alot
At Bhatt Hotel and Suites...
Sunita's friends were supposed to leave the next day but one of them had a call a few minutes ago, it was an emergency, her mum had fallen ill so they had to leave that morning.
She is not married yet but she has a fiancee, the 2nd one was getting married the following month, she needed to spend more quality time with her friends before getting married, and the 3rd one was not married but she has a boyfriend back home. He had not proposed to her yet so he was not her fiancee but unknowingly to her, he was planning to propose when she returns.
Sunita understood the emergency, she booked a flight ticket for them, helped them pack up their belongings and when they were ready, she excuted them outside. As soon as they got outside of the hotel, the taxi that Sunita booked, arrived.
The taxi driver helped them with their luggage in the boot of his car. Sunita hugged them and told them to inform her when they reach home. They live in the same town elsewhere but in different houses.
They responded that they would inform her as soon their plane lands and they get out of it. They entered the taxi and the taxi driver drove off towards the airport. As the taxi was moving, she waved them goodbye. She stood there for a while until the taxi was no longer in sight. She signed, she was missing them already.
She went back into the hotel, she didn't go to her hotel room straight, she stopped at Rohit's room and knocked. Rohit opened the door and was surprised to see her, he thought it was the room service so he didn't ask who it was at the door before he opened it.
He let her in, when she got inside, she sat down on his bed, he offered her juice and she drank. She was not as nervous as before but she was still a little bit nervous.
When she was done drinking the juice, Rohit asked her if she wanted to go downstairs to have breakfast. She thanked him for the invite and declined. She gave the excuse of declining that her friends had to suddenly go back. Now that they had traveled, she wanted to go back home to the Bhatt Mansion.
But the main reason why she declined, was that very early in the morning, her brother Vijay had called her and informed her about the scandal she was about to cause last night, and how the situation was salvaged.
She didn't inform her friends about this though and she wasn't going to tell Rohit, she didn't want to scare him off. Vijay had also told her her their dad, Ravi was furious that morning.
Rohit offered to see her downstairs as she went home, but she declined, she gave the excuse that he had important documents on his table that he was working on, and that she didn't want to disturb him any further.
She left his room afterwards, went back to her room, took the few things she brought along from Bhatt Mansion with her and locked the door. She went downstairs and checked out of the hotel. She boarded a taxi for herself and went home.
Rohit in his room wondered why Sunita declined his offers, first was the breakfast and now, he couldn't even see her downstairs.
He was not feeling too good about it. But in the end he shook that bad feeling off and said to himself, it might be nothing, her friends had checked out, and there was not any more reason for her to stay back in the hotel.
He was not her boyfriend, and maybe she is just missing home and wanted to be home as soon as possible.
He didn't go back studying the documents on the table, he wanted to give her a call, as he was about to dial her number, he paused, and hit his fore head lightly with his palm. He had forgotten about Jasmine.
Jasmine called him yesterday, and he hung up on her and switched his phone afterwards. He had forgotten to call her back. He didn't want to loose Jasmine. He was not sure with his chances with Sunita. Incase it flopped, he still wanted to have Jasmine to run back to.
He didn't call Sunita anymore. He called Jasmine instead. When Jasmine picked his call on the first ring, he heard hello at the other end of the phone.
He noticed that the hello from Jasmine was not sweet as it used to be. He cleared his throat lightly and decided to scold Jasmine instead of apologising to her for hanging up on her and not keeping in touch with her since he got to Bombay, a week ago.
You are behaving very badly Jasmine, you know I am a very busy man, but you stubbornly called me last night. I was in the middle of a business meeting. Your call interrupted me and you couldn't even apologise to me, all you can say is hello.
Jasmine was about to respond, he interrupted her and continued. Jasmine don't call me anymore, I will call you when I get back to Delhi, your tantrums are becoming annoying.
But I have not even said anything, you have been the one talking since I picked your call. Couldn't you be more nicer. You don't call me, that is why I called you last night. Am I wrong to give my fiancee a call when I miss him?
Seriously Jazz! get a hold of yourself, I only traveled, I didn't disappear from the earth, Rohit replied.
What has come over you? You not sweet anymore to me, have you been chatting with another woman in Bombay? Is that why you giving me the cold shoulder? Jasmine asked.
I am a very busy man, I don't have the time for such, besides I should be the one to ask you, are you cheating on me? Is that why you no longer understand me? You are not even supportive anymore.
Look Jasmine, get a hold of yourself, find something to do with your time, stop being so petty. I have to go. Don't call me, I would call you when I have the time, when I get back to Delhi.
He didn't wait for Jasmine to respond, he hung up on her. Jasmine called him, he didn't pick, Jasmine kept on calling, he got fed up and switched off his phone.
He didn't want to block her number. He needed more excuse to blame her for calling too much.
When Jasmine realised he had switched off his phone, she began to cry. She cried so much that her eye balls seemed as if it wants to fall off. She was in her room, she was still crying but her cry had reduced and she began to sob when suddenly her little niece knocked on her door.
She quickly dried her eyes and asked her to come in. Her little niece came to fetch her to come play with her, she had promised that she would play in the garden with her that Saturday.
They had already eaten breakfast earlier, so her little niece had the energy to play. When her little niece entered her room, she noticed that her aunt's eyes were red, so she asked. Aunty why are your eyes red? don't you want to play with me anymore?
She cleared her throat and told her little niece that she wants to play with her, that she should not worry, she even lied to her that something entered her eyes, that is why they are red.
She then instructed her little niece to go out and play first that she would come to play with her after a while. Happily her little niece replied and said, ok aunty, she ran out of Jasmine's room happily and went straight to the garden.
When she was running, her mum saw her and cautioned her not to run so much so that she won't hurt herself. Ok mummy I won't, I will just go and wait for aunty Jasmine to come out and play with me. Ok dear her mum replied.
Jasmine went into the bathroom, washed her face, used her face towel and used her foundation and brown powder to cover up her eye bags. She didn't want her family to know that she had been crying.
The touch up she did to her face worked perfectly, non of her family members discovered she had being crying when she stepped outside to go play with her little niece in the garden. One could only notice it if one came very close to her and looked properly.
Meanwhile at the Bhatt Mansion...
Sunita sat scared in her father's study silently. Ravi Bhatt had different collections of books on business and the stock markets. He loves reading books everyday. No matter how busy he was during the day, he always found time to pick up and read a book everyday. If he does not read, he falls ill.
He was about to send Vijay to go fetch Sunita from the hotel when suddenly she appeared in the mansion on her own. It was a weekend, everyone was home.
As soon as she stepped inside the living room, he didn't give her the opportunity to go put away her things upstairs in her room. He summoned her to his study immediately.
Her mum was in the kitchen at they time, so she was not aware Sunita was home yet. With the tone that Ravi used to summon his daughter, Sunita to his study, if Trisha was anywhere close, she would have guessed that Sunita must have done something wrong to the extreme.
The whole family pampered her, especially her father Ravi. Ravi was the last person to get upset with Sunita and anytime he did, Sunita must have done something wrong to the extreme.
In Ravi's study, Sunita started to sweat profusely. The air conditioning did not help her. Sunita do you know why I summoned you? Ravi asked. Yes dad am aware, Vijay informed me of my wrong doings.
Good, that is very good, you are aware and you have acknowledged and accepted the face that you did wrong. What were you thinking? what is it with you and that Rohit?
Dad I wouldn't lie to you, she stammered, even if I did lie, you will still find out in the end and it won't be good for me if I worry mum. Dad I like Rohit alot, I think am falling in love with him.
As soon as Ravi heard it, he became more furious that he almost gave Sunita a slap. He paused his hands mid air before it could reach Sunita's cheeks.
Sunita was so frightened that she tried to protect her cheeks, she used both her hands to cover her face. Her face became pale. She stammered while covering her face, am sorry dad, I didn't mean to purposely want to cause a scandal.
Ravi angrily responded by saying, from today I forbid you from seeing or going close to Rohit, and if you disobey my orders, you would be grounded until Rohit goes back to Delhi. If you want to get married, my friends has handsome sons, just pick one.
Dad I don't like any of them, she summoned up courage. If you don't allow me get married to Rohit, I will slit my wrist, I don't want to live without Rohit, she cried, took her things and stumbled out of Ravi's study.
Her mum was at the door when Sunita made her last sentence. Trisha was holding a tray of juice and a glass cup, meant for Ravi. Her mum was surprised and shocked at the same time. She asked her self inwardly, when did all this start happening?
She quickly called Sunita but Sunita had already gone to her room. She took the tray inside the study and place it on the study table.
She saw how furious her husband was and asked him about what is going on with Sunita. Ravi did not want to bother Trisha but in the end, he had no choice but to tell her everything from the start till now, about how Sunita almost caused and scandal and her stumbling out of his study.
After hearing about it from Ravi, The first thing she did was to calm her husband down. When he was calm, she then promised to talk some sense into Sunita. Marriage was not child's play, it is a sacred union and Sunita cannot make irrational decisions about it based on feelings.
She then asked Ravi, what are you going to do with the young man Rohit? I am currently investigating his private life, I should be getting a feedback about it later today. When I get the feedback, I will know the next action to take against him.
I have also instructed the bodyguards to keep an eye on him, his every move is being monitored. If he tries any thing harmful, the bodyguards will let me know immediately.
Alright that is great development. Please excuse me dear, I will go talk to Sunita now. Drink your juice. I will take my leave now dear, Trisha said. Ok dear Ravi responded.
