I stepped out of the washroom after I did my business. However, I froze on finding Eshan, leaning against the wall beside the door. With his hands crossed across his chest and right leg propped against the wall, he stayed there with his eyes closed.

Since when he was waiting for me?

He opened his eyes and looked in my direction, perhaps he sensed my presence. Before I could say anything, his lips curved in a relieved smile.

"Great, you came out safely. Now, it's time to feed that hungry stomach of yours," he muttered to himself in a barely audible tone.

Had I gone for the battle? I just went to the bathroom, what was there to feel so afraid for? I couldn't understand why he had to stand guard outside the door.

"Why are you standing outside?" I questioned him, patting my chest. His unexpected presence outside the door had frightened me.
