A morning with the sounds of roosters clucking and the air still in a cold state, Josh woke up with a face of sorrow.
"Today's the last day huh." Josh said to himself with a faint smile.
With a bittersweet taste on his mouth, Josh got up and grabbed a rope. He was ready, the moment he waited for was in front of his face, to vanquish the pain.
"Better do it in the morning so nobody would see." Josh implied.
The sound of a static television was present as he eated his last meal. A walk through the tall trees was all he needed to do, with dead eyes he exited his house and walked slowly as this was his last day.
Meanwhile, a race for his life was in action as Lukito ran away, tripping on the huge vines of trees and men chasing his back.
"Damn it, Out of all the places I could've been brought to, I have to go this piece of crap!" Lukito thought to himself.
As he was running a leader stayed calm, An order was compramised.
"Boss, the child is running away! Permission to shoot!" One of the men shouted.
"Calm down don't do it. I knocked out the kid using a taser, he couldn't be that much of a threat. Release the hounds!" he ordered.
In the midst of the chase a loud sound struck everyone. The horn has been blown. Five tracking dogs suddenly sprinted towards Lukito's direction. He was running, as he heard the dogs barking at him he lost hope, he was tired. A huge land slope was present in the distance as he gasped for his breath. He jumped to it and hoped for the best to survive.
Walking in the forest, Josh found the perfect tree, it was tall and he liked it very much.
"Guess this is it." Josh said to himself as he prepared the noose. "It might be hard to hang this since I broke my left arm, but it's gotta be done."
As he was finishing the tie, a noise alerted him from a distance.
"Dogs?" Josh wondered.
Josh tried to prepare it faster, he stepped in a knocked out trunk and hanged the rope. As he rushed, his hand got stuck on the rope. A man came tumbling down from the bushes on what seemed like much speed to Josh and knocked down the trunk that he was standing on. Josh's arm was hanging from the tree, the moment he felt the pain he could'nt help himself but to scream.
"Dont scream, dont scream..."
Lukito got up from the ground clearly injured and helped him to free himself from the ropes. As Josh got down he sat on a rock and relaxed himself.
"Hey! I'm really sorry about that." Lukito apologized.
"Well thanks to you, both of my arms are broken. Isn't it wonderful?" Josh said sarcasticly.
"Again, I'm really sorry. I will take you to the hosp-" Lukito suddenly realized his situation once again."Hey! We need to run."
"What do you mean we need to run?" Josh asked in a confused tone.
"No time to explain, lets go!" Lukito implied as he grabbed Josh's shoulder.
As Lukito tried to pull him Josh stood his ground and refused to cooperate with Lukito.
"Come on, lets go!" Lukito ordered.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Josh shouted.
"Please, just listen to me!" Lukito said frustratedly.
"You insult me the first time we met even if I didn't do anything to you, then you break my other arm, and now you're ordering me?! What the fuck is wrong with you?!" Josh cried in rage.
"Very well, I'll tell you everything." Lukito said.
As Lukito was explaining the situation a sense of confusion, fear, and disbelief can be seen in Josh.
"Kidnap? Gangs? Intent to kill? Are you fucking kidding me?!" Josh screamed as he denied to accept the explanation.
"I know it's hard to believe but please listen to me." Lukito begged.
The sound of footsteps can be heard from afar. Lukito told Josh to attenuate the sound of his voice. He sucked up his ego and forced himself to listen to Lukito.
"So, what do we do know?" Josh whispered.
"My best bet is to go as far as possible." Lukito replied.
As the two escaped in stealth, Lukito was impressed on how fast his aquantance adapted to the situation.
"How did you get in this forest anyway?" Lukito asked.
"Well, since this is private property, I had to climb on the walls to get in." Josh replied.
"So there's a way to get in huh, then let's go to the place that you used to enter." Lukito said positively.
"That wouldn't work." Josh denied Lukito's idea.
"First of all, I came to this forest with the intent to get lost so I don't know where it is. Plus even if we find it, it's probably guarded by now since they know you escaped." he added.
"Damn, if only you could use that intellegence in class." Lukito taunted.
"Shut up." Josh replied annoyed.
"Then lets check the walls. We can use the trees to check from above." Lukito implied.
He tried to latch on the tree but soon realized that he couldn't reach it.
"Hey could you lend a me a hand- Oh nevermind what I said."
The disappointment in Josh's eyes were inevitable to hide because of the dumb question Lukito asked.
"Ok fine, just step on my shoulder." Josh signed.
As Lukito got up of the tree he felt the wind blow against him. To his surprise Josh was right, there were men guarding in every corner of the wall. He felt hopeless.
"What did you see there?" Josh asked.
"You're right, we're surrounded." Lukito replied with his voice trembeling.
"Before, you lose all sense of hope, tell me what else did you see." Josh asked calmly.
"I didn't really saw much since the place was covered in trees, but there were at least one building in all eight direction:
North - Front gate
North west - Armory
North east - Cementery
South - Warehouse
South west - Cage of hounds
South east - Abadoned shooting range
West - The huge cabin
East - Temple
thats all I saw."
"Hey! look at me." Josh said."It's not over 'till I say so."
Lukito felt somewhat inspired even though it was a puny quote, He signed and regained his thoughts.
"Then let us begin."
