章節 1: Son of the Great Dragon
At the eastern part of the Land of Dawn was a towering mountain called the Dragon Peak. It stood piercing through the clouds, while roars of a dragon could occasionally be heard around the mountain. Fortunately, it was surrounded by a vast wilderness, making any living creature a rare sight.
On the peak was a huge cave shaped like a dragon's head with the entrance like the open jaw of the creature. A few meters in front of the cave was a round stone platform built onto the cliff. Although it was huge, it was plain without any markings.
Suddenly, the space above the platform started to tremble before a man appeared out of nowhere. The man had a muscular build and above average height. He was clad in a simple black robe decorated with a silver dragon on the back. The man was Zilong, known as the son of the mythical dragon and the personal guard of the fated king.
At the moment, he looked pale and his aura was weak. 'Even with the Space Gem, traveling between worlds still place a huge toll on the body. If not for His Majesty bestowing me with His bloodline, my physique will be destroyed everytime I go to a different world.' Zilong thought as he slowly walked towards the cave.
Inside was a short tunnel that led to a golden barrier. Zilong walked straight through the barrier and arrived at a huge opening. Golden scales decorated the walls and ceiling as they illuminated the cave. An elegant pavilion stood in the middle of the cave, surrounded by a large lake.
Zilong smiled as he felt the high temperature inside and his strength returning to him. In less than one minute, he had returned to his peak condition. His aura was no longer weak, instead mighty and oppresive. Yet, one second later, his presence completely disappeared. He was obviously standing there, but it felt as if he wasn't.
Zilong took a step forward and vanished before instaneously appearing in front of the pavilion. He pushed open the door and stepped inside, entering the front hall. Zilong didn't stop even after he walked through the door at the back of the hall and entered a spacious courtyard. He hastened his steps and entered another building at the end of the courtyard.
Inside the main hall, Zilong's gaze paused for a second on a sword displayed at the end of the hall before he turned towards a side door. Through the door was a small courtyard that connected the hall with his bedroom. Halfway through the courtyard was another barrier which Zilong casually walked through. He then quickly entered his bedroom to change into his golden armor. His next task was of utmost importance so he needed to be prepared.
A few minutes later, Zilong found himself standing before the stand displaying the sword at the end of the main hall. A beautiful silver dragon was carved on the hilt. It had a mighty aura as if it was an actual dragon. Anyone who entered the hall could instantly sensed its presence, yet the sword was illusory as if it existed in a different space.
Zilong raised his hand and grasped the hilt. The instant Zilong's hand touched the sword, it was no longer illusory and its mighty aura vanished. In his hand, the sword looked like an ordinary decorative sword, beautiful but harmless.
Zilong was a master of the spear, but the task at hand could only be accomplished with the Silver Dragon Sword. Although the sword had a mighty aura, it wasn't made for combat. Zilong made it through countless years of painstaking research and effort to serve one purpose and one purpose only: to allow His Majesty to emerge in this world!
Now that everything was ready, Zilong couldn't help but fell excited and nervous at the same time. The consequences of failure are severe, but if the plan worked, it shall be a start to His Majesty's glorious campaign!
After sheating the sword on his back, Zilong walked out of the main hall with steady steps.
