章節 45: The Basilisk
I jumped towards the one called Juichy conjuring Joyeuse and taking out my wand, then I attacked where Juichy was but he disappeared, appearing two meters forward. The both of them took battle stances and now I had Juny at my left and Juichy in the front.
Rainy- give me back Ginny!! and the diary now that I'm on it!
Juny- a friend of the girl?
Juichy- not only that... you are the stray one... The Last Half will be pleased if I capture you!
Rainy- ha! Come and try!
He attacked with a short sword and meanwhile Juny was looking not having decided what to do. I dodged easily jumping backwards but then Juichy disappeared and appeared in front of me attacking from below with the sword. I defended from the attack with my rapier, after all, I have more strength than them now, but as I was defending, he dropped his weapon, took two kunais and tried to stab me in both shoulders, I defended with my left hand from one but the right hand had just defended from the sword and he stabbed me on the right shoulder. When I tried to retaliate, he just disappeared again, and appeared with Juny.
Juichy- you are just a kid with more strength than normal... you don't have the skill to wield that rapier of yours. You lack combat experiences.
Rainy- not because I haven't tried to... anyways, if you think that's all I have for you... (command! Magic! Double! Regen! Protect!)
I took out of the wound the kunai and I tossed it to the ground. Then my wound begun to regenerate, and I begun the counterattack, jumping forward to Juichy again. He dodged the thrust to his left, but I aimed with my left hand resting on my right arm and used Stupefy. He deflected it with his sword but lost his stance, to which I used Command! Or. Magic! Lasting Mana Orb! And attacked him on the only foot he had on the floor. Right now I had the advantage or so I thought, but when my attack was going to hit, he disappeared again and pinned me down from behind on the floor.
Juichy- done... st-stop resisting!
Rainy- tsk! I'm not going down with this!!
Then I used the Lasting Mana Orb! That hasn't disappeared but he doesn't know. I aimed to his head while he was on top of me, and it made a hit, making him stagger. I used the opportunity to attack with my elbow to his ribs, pushing him further away and I ended the combo with a kick to his chest, making him crush against the wall behind. Then I prepared myself to attack Juny, and she also took a battle stance, but then we heard someone talking parsel behind us, and it was Ginny. With the diary on her hands, she was calling the basilisk.
Rainy- Ginny! No!
Juny- !! what is she doing?
Rainy- tsk! The diary is controlling her... she's calling the basilisk!
Juichy- !! Juny! We are leaving! That beast can kill just looking to your eyes... the stray one is dead.
Juny- !! what!? She's from our worlds! We can't just leave her here to die!
Juichy- do what you want! I'm leaving. With the basilisk here I'm pretty sure that the mission is going to be completed alone.
And with that Juichy opened a portal that was like the one I used to go to Coriacea, and stepped inside.
Rainy- why are you not going with him?
Juny- can't let another person from our worlds die! I'm not evil!
Rainy- but Ginny was fine?
Juny-..... i-it's not that....
We heard then a loud snake sound from one of the giant entrances that were on the sides of the chamber, and then we saw the basilisk.
Rainy- close your eyes!
Juny- no need to tell me twice!
I begun to hear the basilisk come closer and when he was close enough I jumped forward to touch the basilisk. Then while hugging him I used Command! Magic! Blind! And when I knew it had made him blind partially, I jumped backwards, opening my eyes and using the Lasting Mana Orb that was hovering around me to make him eternally blind. The basilisk begun to crash against the walls of the chamber and then I attacked him with my rapier but it bounced.
Rainy- damn... Juny! He's blind now but my attacks bounce off him!
Juny- then I can look again? Cool! Don't worry about attacks bouncing! We just have to attack on weak spots! All the big monsters have weak spots!
She then proceeded to use her shurikens on the monster, the vast majority of them bouncing off, but one or two got to penetrate between the scales.
Juny- there!!
Rainy- nice! Command! Special! Thrustara!
I used thrustara on that spot between the scales and I made a huge hole on the body of the basilisk, who then proceeded to headbutt me, sending me to the entrance of the chamber, crashing against the door.
Juny- Stray one! Careful!
She then took a giant shuriken she had on her back and begun to attack the basilisk.
Rainy- my name's Rainy! (it was good the fact that I still had protect to defend from that hit. But all the buffs has been gone by now... tsk, what can I do...?)
While the basilisk was going wild, Ginny fell on the floor at the other side of the chamber, and a figure begun to take form on top of the diary. Juny was trying to defeat the basilisk but the scales were a real problem. Then I got up and I saw a phoenix coming from the entrance and when it saw the basilisk, the phoenix got engulfed on fire and Dumbledore appeared where the phoenix was.
Rainy- (what!?) cool! I want to do that sometime too!
Dumbledore- I think this is not the moment to think about that, miss Lionheart.
Dumbledore then went forward to the basilisk and conjured a wall of fire around the monster, making it scream. And when that happened he made all the fire enter the body of the basilisk, roasting him from inside. Juny and I got together behind Dumbeldore while watching the wizard roast the monster.
Rainy/Juny- ...wow...
