章節 63: For the dinner
"Wow! I didn't think that you would have the guts to do something like that!" Minjae commented.
Both of them were on their way home. The sun was starting to set, giving the sky a wonderful hue of colours. The air was starting to get colder as the night was starting to arrive.
"Even I don't know what I can do at times," Miyeon said, "One minute I wanted to avoid drama and hide away from her in order to not provoke her. The next minute, I hated how I had to swallow down my pride before her all the time."
"You should try to defeat her at every chance you get. What is the worse that can happen anyway?" Minjae raised one of his eyebrows.
"I don't know. Me being potentially jobless and homeless in the future? She can even possibly hire a professional assassin in order to get rid of me," Miyeon pointed out.
"It's alright. No matter what happens, I will make sure to expose her in front of the media. If she kills you, don't worry. I will make sure that she is torn apart by the people. By the way, if you want to get revenge, isn't the best way is to get her to kill you?"
Raising her hand, Miyeon punched into his chest lightly before glaring at him and letting out a scoff.
"How dare you joke about my precious life like that!"
"Consider this to be charity. You will be giving away your life for good anyway. This is like killing two birds with one stone."
"Lee Minjae! What do you mean by killing two birds with one stone? Do you think that I wouldn't be beating you up?"
Before he was able to come up with a retort, Miyeon's phone started to ring inside her bag. Wondering about who it possibly could be, she pulled out her phone from her bag.
Her eyes widened when the caller ID fell into her line of sight.
"Who is it?" Minjae asked.
At his question, she brought the phone closer to his face and showed him the caller ID.
"Min Soobin?"
She nodded before receiving the call. After she had accepted the call, Lee Minjae immediately put the phone on loud speaker without giving her a chance to bring the phone closer to her ear.
The only thing she was able to do was sigh at that.
"Hello," she enunciated.
"Are you free right now, Miyeon-ssi?" he questioned— his voice being clear and melodious.
"Yeah, I don't think I have anything much to do right now," she replied after glancing at Minjae.
They had already spent the day together, and she did not want to let Minjae enter into her house. Everytime he was at her place, she had a hard time.
"If that's the case, accompany me for the dinner. I have already sent a car in front of your apartment," he ordered.
Before she was able to say anything, he hung up, and with her widened eyes, Miyeon stared at the blank screen.
"Wow! He is rude!"
