章節 2: Encounter with the Elf Siblings
Unknown to anyone, in the Kingdom of Man, the brother of the king and uncle to Eric, Robert Blacksorrow, known by his greed for the throne, found in the royal library a book in which there was information about the Vanir, some knowledge about the race, their powers as well as some of their basic spells. As he read the incantation of the spell Light, he watched as a small light appeared before his eyes. Intrigued by such a phenomenon, he removed himself from the library and went to his room, where he tried out the other spells and watched as he experimented with his new-found power. As he kept reading, he found out that he seemed to have great aptitude in magic, the same way as the Vanir, since he did not seem to sense any difficulty in casting them or tired for casting them a great deal of times. As he reached the end of the book he found a pendant with a description of its uses, as he read a smile appeared on his face and kept getting bigger and bigger as he kept reading. Putting the necklace on his neck he grabbed a bag in which he put the book, money and a couple of things. After filling the bag, he changed his clothes, went out of the castle and got himself into one of the empty alleys of the town, there, he took the book from the bag, grabbed the necklace and read the incantation. As soon as he finished the incantation, his body was involved in a dark light and disappeared.

Back in the Alfheim, Island the Elves
Through the next 7 years after the birth of their son, Eric and Adele gave John all love he ever needed, giving to all his needs as he grew up. However, that didn't mean he was pampered, John started training in the way of the sword, supervised by his father as well as in the way of the bow and magic with his mother. As he was growing up, John was taught the history and customs of human kind, the elfs and the world. As he learned new things, he found out one day when he went hunting in the woods that he was hated by elves, as he was looked at with scorn and called an "half-breed" an "mutt". Even as he felt discomfort from the insults and some hate against the elves who insulted him, he still felt that the values passed by his father and mother kept his heart good and strong, the values of good, justice, companionship, love...
At 6 years old, John was hunting deep in the forest when he found for the first time of his life, 2 small elves younger than him, a boy and a little girl. The girl was on the ground sobbing as she grabbed her hurt ankle and the boy was in front her with a stick, trying to protect her against a wild boar. As John saw this scene, he grabbed his bow, an arrow from his quiver and targeted the head of the boar as he practiced many times. As soon as he got his target, he released the arrow and it flew speedily towards the boar, who, however, was too slow to detect the danger and couldn't react to the arrow as it hit his head. The boar looked at John as he died unresigned to its death.
The elves looked amazed and stupefied at John, a child like themselves who was able to kill such a big animal with only 1 arrow. John looked like a handsome little boy with short golden hair, aquamarine eyes that looked to have a tinge of gold color, a body somewhat well-built that wore hunting cloths and leather shoes.
John, however, didn't focus on them as he was distracted by something weird that appeared before his own eyes.

"Status Window? I wonder whats that? I never heard about that before" thought John. "Display Status!". Out of nowhere appear something like a transparent scroll with things written on it.
((AUTHOR NOTES: AS THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THE MC SEES THIS WINDOW, I´VE WRITTEN IT IN FULL LETTERS, WHICH WILL NOT HAPPEN IN THE NEXT CHAPTERS, AS I'LL BE WRITING THE ATRIBBUTES ON THEIR REDUCED FORM AS OTHERS DO: STR; END; ETC.))

"I wonder what is this? Level? Health? Mana? Strength? It said that this showed me my abilities, so I wonder if this is showing me how strong is my body and magic... but there's other things in here". John reflected on what was this so called Status Display and why did his parents never say anything about it.
"Hum... Excuse me!!!". John woke up from his thoughts and looked to where the voice came from and saw the two elves sitting on the ground. The boy looked at John and said " My name is Alfie of the House Nightstar, and this is my sister, Silvia. I thank you for saving our lives from the boar. We... we would have died otherwise...".
Surprised with the attitude from this elf, John thought that maybe not all elves are hateful as the ones he'd seen before. "Close Status" thought John, as he saw the window disappear from his sight. He then heard sobbing, and looked at the girl saw that her ankle was hurt, probably from running from the boar. He approached them, kneeled next to her (Alfie took somewhat a protective stance), raised his hand over her ankle and focused his magic on his hand as he said "Heal". As soon as the magic focused was sufficient to activate the magic, bright light surrounded his hand and tranferred to her ankle as the wounds from the girl healed slowly. As the siblings saw this, they were once again amazed by the capabilities of this boy, who seemed to be not much older than themselves.
"You should not be here. The forest is to dangerous of a place to you guys, unless you have the gear and power to protect yourselves against the dangers that exist here. Why are you guys here without protection?".
"It's my fault. I was just curious about what kind of things existed beyond our home, and so I asked my brother if he could take me to the forest to explore. My body has been weak since I was born, so I had to stay home all my life. I only wanted to have an adventure with my dear brother, I never wanted this to happen! Sob... Sob...". John looked at her for the first time, they crossed their eyes, and he was mesmerized, silver long hair, deep violet eyes, pale skin, a face that remained beautiful even with the two rivers of tears that crossed her face from her eyes and a light blue dressed that complemented her overall appearance.
"So beautiful..." as John said that, Silvia was paralyzed as a light blush appeared on her cheeks. As soon as John took notice of what he blurt out, his face grew red, and he looked to the ground "I'm sorry, your the first girl I´ve ever seen besides my mother. But I really think you look cute!", as he said this last sentence, he looked her again in her eyes before he once again turned to the ground even more red than before.
As she processed what she was told for a few seconds, a big smile appeared on her face, and she told him "Thank you, I think your handsome as well.". As two kept blushing, Alfie intervened "So... can you tell us your name? I don't think I´ve seen you before in our Settlement.". "Oh, sorry! It's my first time talking with someone besides my parents, so I forgot. My name is John Calion and I´m...".
Out of nowhere appeared 6 elves who saw the little human near the two child elves and moved towards them. As they got near, two of them went behind John, grabbed him and pushed him to the ground, while the rest grabbed Alfie and Silvia and got them away from John. "Alfie, Silvia! Are you guys ok? Nothing happened to your guys right?". Alfie turned to him "No, we're fine. Why..", as he turned to John, he saw him get beaten up as the ones securing him insulted him "You mutt!!! What the hell did you do those children! Were you trying to kidnap them? I knew it! We should have never left that human alive on our island, he only brings disaster!". As John heard what they said about his father, rage filled his mind as he tried to free himself to fight them to defend his honor. As the elves saw him fighting back, they only beat him up even more, until....". "PLEASE STOP!!!!!!!!!!!", as everyone heard the scream, they turned to the source, the little girl. "Why did you do this? We were almost killed by the boar, and he saved our lives! HE EVEN HEALED MY WOUNDS!!! Why did you have to hurt him?!?" said Silvia crying and sobbing as she saw her own kind hurting the boy who risked his life to saved her and her brother.
After they heard what she said, the leader told the others to release him and to escort back safe to the Settlement the children from the House Nightstar as he turned to John "Half-breed, you may have saved them, but that doesn't change the fact that you have impure blood flowing through your veins. May this be a warning to you: This forest is ours, and you don't have the right to be on it. Don't set your foot in it, unless your prepared to lose your life. May this be your last warning!".
As they went away, John watched as the two siblings were brought by the others, as their eyes that were focused on him were filled with feelings of blame, pain and sorrow, unlike the eyes of the adult elves that were filled with scorn. "I´m sorry mom, but it seems like I really cant forgive them for what they said about you and father and the way they treat us, even if there are a few that dont treat us bad..." though John, as he finally lost his conciousness on his little pool of blood.

JohnLight Hey guys, This is my first novel, and I based it of an idea that I had for an RPG I wanted to make. I´d like if you guys could leave some comments about what you think about this novel. I´d like to see some feedback, so I can better write it.
As its taking longer than I though to write my ideas, I´ll try to release at least 1 chapter for day.
