章節 23: Testing Pills and Saving Princesses?!

Yue Yang finished taking his notes on the Braveman Charging pill after a few hours of study on the volunteers(bandits) that came to him(abducted) hoping to become stronger(stay alive). The pills effects on growth were low, only increasing their stats by the minimum amount. However this didn't deter him at all as he tried feeding it to them in different ways such as liquid form, then using Runes on them to help them digest the energy. The liquid form caused the medicinal effects to dissipate faster, but the Runes slightly improved the absorption and made the volunteers cry in joy(pain). Well maybe he needed to rework the Runes to make the Absorption process gentler? He next started testing with the Hero Rising pills and could only sigh at the same abysmal results.

Testing out the various pills he had obtained and made on the bandits and thieves he had caught on the way towards Northern Moon Fairy Pavilion was the best method he had found to keep himself entertained during the long monotonous trip. He really regretted not bringing some servant girls to keep him entertained. Why not go back and get them or just spend the nights with his wives, you may ask? Because that lacked a sense of adventure. Other than the Alcatraz ID where he kept his prisoners he hadn't entered an ID since taking off.

Yue Yang wasn't to disappointed in the performance of the pills he had made over the years, in fact he was quite satisfied. He could currently make 100 Sages, although they would be weaker than normal even with his Runes(Toture Device) to aid them in absorbing the energy of the pills. He thought for a moment about making them into a medicinal bath then dunking the bastards into it to improve their strength, but that would use far to many resources for just a few canon fodders. There was also the fact that making a lot of of sages would make it difficult for him to control them. The gold ranked slave collars on their necks could only bind up to level 7 Overlords after all.

While traveling he perused the Statuses of all the men in Alcatraz trying to find suitable servants for himself. Finally after a while he discovered a old warrior of a fallen small kingdom. He tried and failed to not laugh at his name, Chen Chong. He knew that this world was basically China, but really, how could his parents have given him such a name? At least the name of the protagonist he had replaced was bearable, and he was beginning to see why the author basically called everyone by titles. He wasn't even sure if Luo Hua was that city mistress's actual name. He brought the old level 4 Grandmaster out of Alcatraz and gave him a choice, to kneel and serve or to be locked away and kept as a lab rat. He promptly received an oath of loyalty to the heavens after he pulled out six pills to use in exchange. Although the lower ranked pills couldn't be used to promote the users rank, it could however slightly increase their stats. This should be the true use of the pills and the forceful level upgrade was only from the pills increasing the energy to quickly. After helping his new butler cum bodyguard to absorb the energy in the pills and become a level 7 Advanced Overlord he granted Mr. Chong a full set of silver ranked heavy armor and sword, along with a Gold 10 Flaming War Horse.

With his new strength and beast Mr. Chong was more excited than he had ever been. He intended to work hard due to being promised pills that would help him reach the level of a sage if his work was up to standard and even more gold level 10 beasts. Serving this terrifying young master would've the smartest decision he had ever made. Under orders from his young master to scout ahead by 1 kilometer(A/n: I assume a kilometer is 1k meters.) Mr. Chong did as requested and for several days they made headway without issues. This was until while scouting Mr. Chong came across a beautiful white carriage and it guards being besieged by several warriors. Deciding not to be slow about it the old warrior turned his Flaming War Horse that had caught a lot of attention around and rode towards his young master to deliver the news. Feeling happy to have been of service after delivering the information he cried out in pain as his butt was kicked and he had been sent flying. When he asked why he was punished he almost fainted when he heard his young masters reason.

"Fool, why didn't you see if it was pretty girls being besieged? Now when I go check it out I might get uselessly embroiled in saving some damn man. This daddy doesn't want the life saving gratitude of some bastard that might want to offer me his anus in thanks. Even worse what if he wants mine, if he does I'm definitely sending you to him you understand." Yue Yang didn't hold back on cursing the old man. Although he would be able to handle the bandits or warriors no problem he didn't want to get involved in things that had no advantages for him. He sighed and then used a crystal to summon his mount, a Gold 10 White Rider. It was a breed of horse type creature above the Flaming War Horse, but below what he considered the girlier breeds like Unicorns and Pegasi. The pure white horse radiated nobility and grace as it charged down the path with Yue Yang on it wearing a set of full gold Rank equipments which had been created in the form of high nobility's clothes. He wore this instead of the full Diamond Rank equipment he had provided Alice, because he didn't feel strong enough to start showing off yet. Even though he had already gained a lot of attention, he was worried because the bastard Thousand Goblin King hadn't shown up yet. He didn't know when he would appear, but taking care of the body snatcher was the top item on his todo list. When he crested a hill towards the battle he stopped so that he could catch both sides attention. And as he'd hoped one of the carriage guards yelled out to him.

"Noble sir! Her highnesses the princesses Tian Wu Yun and Tian Wu Mei are being besieged by rebels and usurpers, we humbly request your existence!"

Yue Yang of course was ecstatic apparently all those old tropes from his past life were true, if a boy from another world goes around traveling he will meet princesses in danger. Yue Yang didn't miss a beat as he drew out a long gold Rank lance and charged into the aggressors and scattered them by lance and hoof. He was actually surprised about how thrilling it was to charge into battle like this and was considering what kind of beast to make his future mount. It would have to at least reach Heaven level 7 for him to even have any use for it. While he liked his White Rider it had already reached its limits and wouldn't grow any stronger.

"While I am not a citizen of this country I cannot simply standby and watch as a pair of beautiful young ladies is killed now can I?" Yue Yang laughed towards the guards as he put on a show for the eyes peeping from the carriage. The rebels and guards had already been shocked by the beast he was riding, but after seeing that all of his equipment was gold ranked and his personal power after charging through the several dozen rebels both sides had different reactions. The guards who had been heavily outnumbered were thanking the gods while the rebels were cursing the young man in front of them. They couldn't feel his cultivation at all as he sat atop his beast and glanced at them with a cocky and playful grin on his lips.

"Young Master wait for me!" This Voice almost caused the rebels to cry as the old man in silver equipment with a gold level beast came storming over the hill. Unlike his mysterious young master they could tell that the fellow with a sword that looked like a block of iron charging towards them was a level 7 Overlord. They had thought that old fellow had chosen to avoid the fight, who would know he would comeback with a terrifying young master?

"Mr. Chong you are to slow, what kind of butler are you?" Yue Yang laughed as he watched the faces of the rebels contort. An Overlord as a butler? What dirty had they offended in their past lives to catch the attention of such an abnormal brat. The rebels might have coughed up blood and committed suicide if they knew this was all an act to impress the girls in the carriage. Mr. Chong shouted his apologies as he began to test out his new strength and weapon on the poor hapless rebels who were trying to scatter. Since they had already rebelled and attacked the royal family at that, they couldn't even surrender since that meant certain death. Yue Yang of course wasn't going to waste an opportunity to show off for princesses so he charged in and did just as much damage to the rebel forces as the old man did, just with more style and grace. The rebels were soon cleared with the guards having caught several to interrogate.

Yue Yang was actually slightly curious for the reason these rebels were here, attacking members of the imperial family had only two meanings, the rebellion had already gained control of most of the country or a coup was being enacted by another powerful noble. He didn't have time to think much about this though as the head guard came and thanked him saying the princesses would like to speak with him. He didn't plan to keep them waiting as he accepted the invitation and followed the guard towards the carriage. A very beautiful maid was the first to step out, although she was the oldest looking woman that he had ever shown interest in.(Oldest looking, not oldest.) Yue Yang found himself slightly enamored by her full body. He fought hard not to swallow hard as he gazed at her with a curious look. He was surprised by the distrust in her eyes, seeing as he was their savior, but put it behind him. He had to meet the princesses who were coming down the carriage. The two blue haired girls were quite stunning, add on the fact that they were twins and he had already decided to conquer them. The princesses were nearly perfectly identical, from their pool like blue eyes and charming smiles, to the fancy noble dresses they both wore. If it wasn't for his Divine Vision telling them apart would have been difficult.

""Thank you kind sir."" They both thanked him simultaneously in crystal clear voices that chimed like bells. They separately introduced themselves then got down to the reason they wished to meet him. Their uncle had seized the throne from their father after killing him and all, but their youngest brother, who was traveling with them. Their mother was likely dead as well and their uncle wanted to thoroughly remove their fathers bloodline. They were requesting aid from whatever sect or clan was behind him to provide them with refuge. After thinking for awhile Yue Yang finally decided to help them for 3 reasons. The twins were hot and he wanted them as wives, their mother was likely as beautiful as them so he wanted to see if she was still alive and finally, even if it was a small kingdom like this if he seized control or put a puppet king in control like their little brother in charge it would be fine. After all besides having a large harem of beautiful women he wanted to conquer the world, such worldly desires would definitely hold him back in the future if he was a regular cultivator in this world, but thankfully he had the system and the Gamers Mind. Why would he have to fear heart demons?

He smiled devilishly at the two princesses, which made the maid tense up, before saying. "You're asking for to little, this uncle of yours is just a level 7 Advanced Overlord right? He wouldn't be satisfied with this small kingdom so to stop a senseless war from breaking out I might as well just kill him." He wasn't being humble in the slightest. He showed his arrogance for their uncle and his desire to prevent losses to their people in two sentences that shocked them.

"Will an elder from your clan assassinate him?" The maid who he found out was named Darla asked. He was surprised that she didn't hesitate to jump into her mistresses conversation showed that she was far more than a simple maid and her status as a level 7 beginner Overlord that she was trying to hide proved it.

"Not necessary." Came his cocky reply as he released his Qi and brought his strength slowly up to that of a Advanced Overlord. "Miss Darla with this strength and my several Gold 10 beasts should I fear this childish usurper? Also before you begin thinking my strength is artificial allow me to properly introduce myself. My name is Yue Yang, of the Yue clan in Da Xia Empire. I am the number 1 most talented youth, skilled in forging, combat, puppets and Runes. Can this fellow you as a Overlord are so scared of dare to even raise his blade to me?" He happily watched the maid swallow in fright as the eyes of the twins lit up. What woman didn't love dashing heroes? And how could one be more heroic than the Soaring Dragon Continents number 1 genius. The princesses considered themselves talents because they contracted grimoires at 13 and had used 3 years to become heroes, but compared to the man before them, they were just average. Plus considering his strength and the time since the coup started there was still a chance for him to save their mother and other siblings. He quickly gained their assent to assault the palace and kill their uncle, after all between running from a tyrant and retaking their throne with the aid of a foreign prince, the choice was obvious. Yue Yangs two displays of power and dignity had also left impressions on the hearts of the princesses, with the help of his Lust skill of course.
