The prefect came over to Hermione before briefly applauding her, the rest of the first years clapped for her whilst Lilith gave her a smile. They then made their way into the common room, Philip noticed the ongoing theme of Blue and Bronze leaving for a very glamorous yet sophisticated look.
The room was simple yet smart, there was small, cushioned chairs surrounding small circular tea tables, with the walls being almost entirely bookshelves. In the middle, far back of the room, there was a small area with a statue placed in the middle, the name upon the statue read 'Rowena Ravenclaw' which the prefect told them was the founder of the Ravenclaw house that existed centuries ago.
The Tower had a small staircase attached to the side in a small room which led to another floor, this floor had two separate sides of the towers spanning out, one was for the girls rooms whilst the other being for the boys. In the middle was a small, cosy room with a tiny fire in the middle, some small sofas placed around it leaving for a very homey feeling.
The prefect then showed them to where their Suitcases and luggage was currently placed, they each took their own from the pile until the last one was gone, the prefect then allowed for both the boys and girls to make their ways into their dormitory rooms where they would split up into their own smaller rooms which they each owned privately. Because there wasn't too many Ravenclaws compared to other Households, they were capable of not having to share rooms with the other students which left them with a very relaxing feeling as well as a sense of privacy.
Each room would be their very own until the end of their 7th year at Hogwarts, providing that they wouldn't leave before for some reason of course. Philip made his way up into the dormitory rooms, there was a total of 10 vacant rooms for the boys which just so happened to be more than enough for the amount of students there was joining Ravenclaw this year, he quickly chose a room on the very end of the corridor before entering it and closing the door.
When he turned around to inspect the insides of the room, he noticed they weren't as small as he had originally thought, on the right side of the door was his bedding whilst on the left he had a small study desk with a lamp, paper, quill, and a tidy bookshelf sat directly behind it. Running through the middle of the room was a small, blue rug with neon stars upon it, lighting the circular top to the room. Just through the middle was a walkway with an arched window at the very end and a small porch side which you could sit in.
Philip made his way over to the window and gazed out into the night sky, he wasn't entirely sure what tower they was in right now, but looking down he could just barely notice what appeared to be a Quidditch field below due to the excessive lights placed in Hogwarts blaring out of the windows.
He then turned back and looked towards his bed. Sat atop the bed was presumably his new Ravenclaw Tie, Winter wear and scarf all coloured with blue and bronze most likely to show he was in Ravenclaw. He placed the suitcase down next to the desk before turning back to the bed.
After a brief moment of silence, Fen jumped out of his robes and pranced onto the bedding before sitting there and looking towards Philip with his head tilted slightly. Philip smiled at the action and petted Fen on the head whilst throwing himself onto the bed, "This'll be our new home for a while Fen, do you like it?" He said to which Fen jumped onto his chest and began licking Philip's face excitedly.
"Aha, yes.. me too." Philip said whilst tilting his head to the side and staring out of the window into the distant night sky, before briefly closing his eyes and fluttering into a deep sleep.
Over in another area of Hogwarts, where everyone else was deep asleep, all except one. Harry was also there, resting against a wall atop the porch, looking out of the window into the distance. Hedwig was happily chirping away whilst Harry was smiling.
The next day had soon come by, Philip had awoken from his slumber rather early, he neatened the robes he had fallen asleep in before giving Fen a small hug. He then made his way out of his room and down the stairs into the common room, it was still rather early in the morning and as such, there wasn't anyone there yet. He went to the first row of bookshelves, chose a book from the very bottom corner and took it out. He sat down at one of the chairs whilst Fen hopped onto his lap as he started reading the book.
After around 30 minutes or so, Philip heard someones footsteps as they came down the stairs, but he merely kept reading as it didn't really matter to him. But soon after, he noticed a voice coming his way "Oh, Philip, it's you!" he heard, as the voice seemed to be getting closer and closer.
He looked up from his book and noticed Hermione standing there in her robes with a few books in hand and slightly unkempt hair most presumably from bed head. Philip made a small grin when he saw this but didn't say anything which caused Hermione to become a bit flustered and confused.
"W-why're you smiling like that?" she asked to which Philip pointed at a small mirror placed atop one of the desks. She walked over to the mirror before picking it up and examining herself in it, once she noticed her hair, she became even more red and flustered to which Philip let out a slight laugh.
She turned around and looked at Philip slightly angry before hurriedly turning around with a small 'hmph!' "Alright, okay, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have laughed, come here." Philip said whilst closing his book and gesturing her to come towards him. Albeit slightly reluctantly, she still made her way over, but unexpectedly, he suddenly threw his hands into her hair before rubbing around a bit. Hermione thought he was messing around and was about to reprimand him until she heard "There you go, finished" to which Philip removed both of his hands and sat back down.
She lifted the mirror once more and noticed how her hair was actually back to how it use to be except this time, her tips were slightly frilly which made her look rather enticing. Finding nothing to moan about, she simply looked at Philip before saying, "T-thank you", Philip returned a small smile.
Soon after, a lot more students came crowding in, it was time for them to go to their first lesson which happened to be the History of Magic, Lilith met up with Philip and Hermione before they all began to make their ways down to the classroom.
'Meh' . I hope you didn't find these chapters too excessive, I felt it necessary to sort of get the initial bits and bobs out of the way before slowly accepting timeskips more frequently, cause naturally, I'm not going to write about every day of Hogwarts lmao.
