章節 30: The truth Pt.1

Jung Kook's POV

Looks like the prize has gotten better. I should really join this. For you Lily, I'm willing to do this. I walk towards my locker to take my books for my next class. When I open my locker, a letter fell out of it. I pick up the letter and put it back thinking that it was just another letter from a fan until I caught a scent of fresh flower on the letter. Out of curiosity, I open the envelope and see that there's a Lily flower in it. I was shocked when I saw Lily's name as the sender of this letter. I was excited to know what she has written inside and the content didn't disappoint me.

To: Jung Kook

Meet me at the university garden after your last class. I have something to tell you. It's very important.

From: Lily

I felt like the time passes by so slowly because I couldn't wait to see Lily to know what she wants to tell me. After my last class, I quickly rush to the university garden but no one was there. I sat down on the bench to catch my breath while waiting for Lily. After 5 minutes, I heard sound of leaves being crushed by footsteps and I got excited thinking that it was Lily. As the shadows emerged, it was really her.

"Hi Lily." I said.

"Hi Jung Kook." Lily said.

"What is it that you want to tell me?" I asked.

"I need you to promise me that you would stay calm after you've heard what I want to say." Lily said.

"Ok I promise." I said.

"Looks first of all my name is Lilac not Lily. I was lying to you all this while because of what happen two years back. I find it hard to accept that you guys just left. I was angry and disappointed with you guys. To say the truth, I did come to Korea to find you guys but I never expect to see you on my first day in university. I'm sorry if you're angry for me lying to you but I really needed time. I'm really sorry. It's up to you if you want to forgive me or not because I know that it's my fault." Lily not Lilac said.

I was shocked speechless by what she had just told me. I never would have thought that Lilac had been by my side all this while. No wonder when I first saw her, I have good feeling towards her. I thought that I like her but who knows that it turns out to be a sense of familiarity. Now I know why I felt happy just looking at her. It was because that she's Lilac. I don't know what to say to her after what she had told me. I promise her not to get angry so I couldn't lash out on her. A guy must keep his promise.

"Lilac, give me some time." I said.

"Sure, It's my fault after all." Lilac said and walk away.
