Justin's head was foggy. He could barely make out snippets of unfamiliar voices in conversation around him.

"He doesn't have a concussion, I checked, and the girl said he didn't hit his head anyway."

"His blood pressure is incredibly low, it's amazing he didn't faint before this…"

"Low blood pressure, low blood sugar, dehydration, low iron levels…this kid's a wreck."

"He should wake up once he's had some nutrients and electrolytes pumped into his system. He'll need to stay here for at least a week considering…"

Where was he? Where was Sam? And…Emily. He saw her. She was really there. He wasn't hallucinating this time. But why? Why had she followed him all the way across the country? What did she want? Emily…

He was made aware of a faint pressure on his hand. Someone was holding on for dear life. It felt like his hand was clasped in between two other ones. They were murmuring something his muddled mind couldn't quite make sense of.
