章節 1: Prologue

Rome, Italy

Under the light of the full moon, screams of horror and fear could be heard while a roar of rage sounded out inside a lonely house near the forest. A child at the age 13 stalks his last prey with cold unfocused blue eyes, driven only by instinct. Flexing his bloodied claws the child moves to kill only to stop as his eyes regain focus and stares at his last prey with familiarity.

"Chase! Control yourself, please I don't want to kill my own son!" Kneeling before his own son, Arthur Venor could not do anything as he watched his prodigious son kill each his family one by one.

"Hehehe..." A dark chuckle from behind caught Arthur's attention as a man with blood red eyes stands by Chase, "Oh Arthur, our families never-ending war finally comes to an end."

As the two exchange words of condescending anger Chase looks down at bloodied hands, shaking with fear he looks up and gazes at the fallen bodies of his mother, sister, brother and other relatives who came tonight. Falling down to his knees he releases a howl of pain and grief as he realized he killed his family.

"Well, that was dramatic." The Alpha said sarcastically, "Now who wants the honor of killing Arthur Venor, the leader of the oldest and supposedly strongest supernatural hunter family in the world." The Alpha looks to pack with his blood red eyes and the pack respond with blood thirsty smiles and eager snarls.

The Alpha smiles sadistically and looks down at his newest beta, "How about we let our newest member complete his collection." Chase looks up at the Alpha and glares hatefully at him and quickly lunges claws aiming for his throat.

Effortlessly catching Chase's wrist The Alpha smiles and wags his finger, "Now now little beta, no need to be so eager. Let me help give you your 13th birthday present." Grabbing both his wrist from behind he forces the little betas claws up.

Two of the older betas come forward and picks up Arthur and holds him above Chase's claws. "Any last words to say to your son Arthur?" The Alpha asks.

Arthur looks down at his son and smiles sadly, "Chase remember I-" Arthur was suddenly dropped onto his son's bloodied claws while Chase could only look on in horror as he has killed his whole family.

"Oops, I slipped." Said one of the betas holding Arthur. The rest of the pack snicker and chuckle.

"Alright." The Alpha looks around the yard of corpses, "Job well done, time to go. Places to be. People to kill. Hunters to hunt." The pack moves out as the Alpha grabs Chase and drags him off to be with the pack. "You are with us now pup. Welcome to the family."
