章節 4: Ch.4 A long day

After the meeting I got a call from work that they needed me. Did I forget to mention I work at the hospital. Well a girl came in with a bad head injury and weird bite marks. They look very strange. There was two punctures but I could see indents that look human. It has me stumped. She didn't make it. It was like she was drained of all her blood. Not even 12 blood bags would help her. I left feeling defeated. I let a young girl, about 12 die. I can't imagine how her parents feel. Not even getting to know what killed her. As I walk tears flood my eyes. Making everything blurry. I keep wiping my eyes with my hands but it's no use. Tears just keep coming, so I just give up. I feel my legs crumble. I knew being a doctor I would experience deaths. I just never knew it would be this hard. She was so young. She never got to go on a date. Never got her first kiss. Never got to go to prom. Never got to walk down the isle in a beautiful dress. Never got to have kids. She never got to live life. I sit in the middle of a sidewalk sobbing. I jump as I feel a hand touch my shoulder. It's the guy from dinner.
