章節 13: chapter 13

Most of the people in the neighbor had given in to the abuse but Joe was the only one that

would openly stand up to the abuse(beside his aged Grandma) that the law and outlaws were giving out

to the people in the neighborhood.

Joe once he felt he had to stand up against the injustice, he would not back down no matter what. He would never back to anybody, no matter what could or would happen.

Joe had woken up early one mourning and was getting clean up in the morning. He had shaved, showered, and got dressed. It was one of many days he had to work.

Joe would work six days a week without fail for years on end.

Joe refused to work on Sunday, so that he could go to church. He would work any other day but not on the Lord's day. This was due to Joe was raised in church his entire childhood and his love for

church.

The factory managers had wanted the entire work force to work every day and Joe could do the work of over twenty veteran factory workers daily without any visible sign of tiring. Joe believed he had to do this so that he could Sunday off since going to church was very important to him. At church he spend time just focusing on the Lord and spending precious time with Him.

Joe was threatened at first but all the enormous factory's managers. But on the other hand, they did not want to lose Joe as a worker, so they had soon relented to Joe's wishes. Joe just did not show on Sunday no matter if he was scheduled to work that Sunday or not. Eventually the managers just gave up on trying to get the man to work seven days a week.

Joe would go to work early in the morning and arrive back home late in the evening. Joe would often work eighty to one hundred hours a week without fail. Every day Joe's grandma would prepare a mighty feast that was breakfast.

Joe was a large man beyond imagination in the local ghetto at a thousand pounds. His body required a lot of calories to maintain his muscle mass. Joe was ripped and was under four percent body at all times. Joe felt his strongest when he was around four percent body fat so he stayed well in that

range.

Joe spoke," I do not know why you get up so early when you do not even work anymore!"

Grandma spoke,"Then you do not want your breakfast ham?"

Joe jerked back and spoke,"I did not say that! I will eat it! A man can not turn down a breakfast ham!"

Joe sat at the table and prayed over the meal and he began to eat at the large round table covered

in all sorts of breakfast foods, such as pancakes, omelets, sausage, to name a few.

Joe said with food still in his mouth," Are you hungry?"

Grandma spoke," I have already ate while you were getting ready. It does not take me long to eat like you who eats the food enough for twenty men!"

Joe was completely oblivious to what his Grandmother was saying, since he was afraid that he would be late for work.

#

Joe finished his breakfast and kissed his grandma.

Grandma spoke," Do not forget your lunch bag! You and the other workers will be disappointed that they do not have a lunch! The co workers will be mad at you since they had gone hungry!"

Joe looked over to a custom made lunch bag that was the size of a small deep freezer. He grabbed it up with his left arm and threw the large bag's strap over his left shoulder. Joe could barely fit through the front door on his own nonetheless with an enlarged lunch bag.

Grandma could never truly get over the sight of her grandson Joe attempting to put ten foot of man going through seven foot of door.

It put a smile on the old woman every time as her grandson left for work every morning.

Grandma hated to be alone, since it reminded her of the day she lost' Joe's parents.

Joe had been asking his parents, McDonald, his father and his mother, Wendy to take on him on

a walk across the nearby neighborhoods. His parents told him no for many months because of the

chance of possible attack from the local gangs.

One day after school Joe was met by both of his parents.

Joe ran up to his parents and gave them both a hug bear hug.

Joe was over four feet tall and over one hundred pounds to his father's seven foot frame.

The parents had a feeling that their son was a giant and would one day dwarf the both of them. Joe was four foot tall at four years old and strong as a small ox.

Joe's parents were too poor to afford even an old junk heap of a car, so they walked everywhere they went.

McDonald and his family were in extreme poverty but they did not stop them from having happiness and joy.

How could this possibly be? How could they be happy with next to nothing?"

McDonald was taught by his mother and his late father to be happy with what God had given them and not be ungratefully since they was always some person worse off than they were. Having so little in this life would mean that they could expect something truly better once they leave this life for

the life that they would have in heaven one day.

Joe asks,"Momma, Why do you have a picnic lunch in your hand?"

Wendy smiles,"You will have to wait and see!"

Joe begins to grin from ear to ear.

The family of three had started to walk through the neighborhood for miles. The family was poor so they had to learn to walk for several miles in a single stride. It helped the family stay fit as possible and not gain weight. The family had to eat foods that were often not very healthy to eat and were the worse graded foods. They had a lot of food to eat but they were given the food that people

outside the ghettos would not eat.

Most of the people in the ghettos had not ever eaten anything any better so they never knew any different.

The small family was walking together while holding each other hands while walking on the broken sidewalk. Joe was in the middle, his mother to his left and his father to the right. Cars was very scarce in the ghetto so they could walk side to side.

In the ghetto people only exited their small neighborhood only for work, so Wendy and McDonald were on their guard for danger. The ghetto was terrorized from time to time by thugs. But they had not seen any gang members today, so they continued on with their walk.

#

Joe had walked for several miles and was started to tired when his parents begin to laugh.

Joe started to get fussy and was started to slow when he saw in the distance something.

Joe yelled,"There is a playground! Mom! Dad! It is a playground!"

Wendy spoke," We had wanted to take you here because it was our playground when your daddy and I was little kids."

Joe smiles and says," Really? It looks cool, Mom!"

McDonald spoke," We did not take you early since we had to make sure it was still here and that it was even safe to go. It took me a couple months to find these place again and make the safest path."

There was an old park bench still in a good condition and not covered in trash. Wendy and

McDonald put a large table cloth over the table and placed food and drinks on one side of the table.

They held their hands and prayed. They immediately started to chow down, since all three of them was hungry.
