章節 3: Ch03 - First few days

With his beautiful aunt gone, Samuel resumed cleaning himself. While his body was moving, his mind was elsewhere. When his aunt hastly left, his gaze was attracted to her swaying chest and rear, prompting his little guy to half-awaken. For the first time since his transmigration, he really though about the beautiful girls he was bound to meet in the future.

His cousins Bing and Yu. His distant relative from his mother and aunt clan, Yi Nan. The cousins Wu Xia and Wu Hen. The princesses Luo Hua and Qian Qian. The innates Sky Law and Zhi Zun. The Drinking Spear Lady. Then there was the contracted beasts Empress Fei Wen Li, the Barbarian Cow Shadow, the Bloody Queen, the Golden Crown Thorny Flower Queen.

While fictional Yue Yang shamelessly chased them all (aside from his cousins), Samuel was different. First, he definitly wouldn't mind going after Bing and Yu even though they were cousin, because back on Earth, he was fond of aunt-nephew and cousins incest stories. If his aunt Xian had been a widow, he would have added her to the list. He also didn't feel like actively going after Qian Qian, Wu Xia and Zhi Zun, even though he liked them. However he wouldn't mind if they fell for him.

Samuel had to slap himself to stop thinking about future possible sexy moments. He had 200 000 credits to spend, so he opened the shop and searched for the ressources he needed to get stronger. After a while he used 197 500 credits and ended up with:

-Earth and Heaven cultivation technique, a decent innate qi cultivation method.

-Mountain Tiger body cultivation, to increase his physical attributes

-Shadow Concealment technique, a stealth technique

-Forest Lord Scouting technique, a detection technique

-Fierce Fist, an offensive hand-to-hand combat style

-Revolving Guardian, a defensive hand-to-hand combat style

-Binding Fighter, a restraining hand-to-hand combat style

-Hidden Hand, a small hidden weapons fighting style

-The Pathways of the Body, an extensive accupuncture manual

-The Saving Hand, an extensive field medecine book

-The Angel Hand, a quality and versatile massage technique

-Yin-Yang pendant, a pendant that helped gathering natural energy for cultivation

That was 11 things he had to work on daily. Removing 8h of sleep and 2h for eating and hygien, that left 14h to train. So he decided on a schedule:

-2h for Earth and Heaven cultivation technique, and the Mountain Tiger body cultivation

-1h30 for the Fierce Fist, Revolving Guardian and Hidden Hand

-1h for the Shadow Concealment, Forest Lord Scouting, the Pathways of the Body, the Saving Hand and the Angel Hand

-30min for the Binding Fighter style

And that what he did for the following days. Of course, he couldn't completly spend all his time by himself training. On the day he talked to Xian, he was later visited by little Shuang. He was happy to meet her, and was quick to view her as a little sister. She was fun to have around, if a bit tiring at times. And it also pleased his aunt Xian to see them interact. She visited from time to time, though she took care not to stay too long, seeing as he was always busy training or studying.

At first she didn't want him to continue training in martial arts, as she thought it was only good for soldiers, and summoners didn't need it. But he told her it was a weakness too many summoners had. He told her that skilled martial artists could be on par with a few summoned beasts, and if they added their own beasts to the battle, they would overwhelm summoners relying only on their beasts. They could also better make use of strenghtening beasts.

In the end, she relented, so he asked her about their past, and he listened to her while working. She enjoyed these moments, recounting the good times they had together, watching him train and grow strong. Samuel was growing quite fond of her presence. She was also a bit like a cheerleader for him: she was quite the eye-candy, and encouraging.

To cultivate innate qi, one had to harness the natural energy of the earth and the atmosphere and absorb them into his body, thus the name of the cultivation technique, "Earth and Heaven". It would wash the whole body and improve it, and increase the spirit of the individual. The Mountain Tiger body cultivation technique consisted of a series of physical exercises and stretching, merged with specifics qi paterns aimed at increasing the efficiency of the workout. It partially mimicked the constitution of a mountain tiger beast: strong, tough, fast and flexible.

The Shadow Concealment was about reducing ones presence by slowing the metabolism and keeping ones qi from leaking. The Forest Lord Scouting was about improving senses and raising ones awareness of the surroundings to detect perturbations. They were trained by strolling in White Stone City for 2h, from the end of the afternoon to early evening.

It was good practice to hide from people, or keep track of one's surroundings, and also a good way to get used to the city. He located the Mercenary Guild, the Assassin Guild and other locations that could have a high level individual. He wanted to stay away from them for the time being, he knew that the examiner in the Assassin Guild was quite strong, most likely an innate.

The Fierce Fist used fast attacks aiming at weak points to cripple or kill, such as the eyes, the throat, the ears, the diaphragm, the groin, the kidneys and the joints. There were a few kicks aiming for the knees and ankles, and knee strikes targeting the hips and legs. There were no straight strike toward the target, they were all slightly curved, aiming for an area during the first half of the move, then homing for the specific point in the later half. It demanded agility and dexterity. For defense it relied on dodging and intercepting the opponent strikes to damage their limbs.

The Revolving Guardian was made to defend a person or an area. One had to be firm on his position, deflecting the attacks away from the target, or blocking them and absorb part of the force of the attack to reduce the damage. It made use of circular motions to deflect or absorb attacks, and to use the momentum to perform counters. In certain ways, it reminded him of Siegfried from History Strongest Disciple Kenichi.

The Hidden Hand was a hidden weapon techniques using small concealed blades, small throwing knives, needles and threads. Samuel intended to focus on the later 3 for more mid-range combat ability. The Binding Fighter style was like jujitsu mixed with lucha libre due to its wrestling moves and aerial maneuvers. It was made to neutralize opponents without killing them, by binding their movements with locks, holds and pinning moves. All those were practiced in the backyard

The Angel Hand and Binding Fighter were taken so he would be able to touch the ladies "legitimately". He couldn't completly forget about his previous thoughts. He knew Bing would be coming home in the near future, probably called back by his aunt, so he would train use them with her for some good skinship. He intended to train it with Yu as well in the future, and perhaps Yi Nan. He could also imagine himself "fighting" with the tigress princess after teasing her.

The ID, he practiced it while eating (when he was alone) or bathing, creating and exiting every few seconds. He used it a few times in the city when there was nobody nearby. He was eager to be able to make combat dungeons, and if possible, with time dilatation. His Divine Vision and Counterfeit were also trained with his strolls around the city. He examined any person and decent item he encountered, and his counterfeit was used to deflect attention.

Accupuncture, medecine and massage were hard to train because he didn't have anyone to use as guinea pig, and could only test basic things on himself. He had considered using the maid to train his accupuncture and massage, but he feared he would succomb to temptation and freely molest her. He also didn't want to be caught by his aunt with his hands on a lightly clothed maid, even with purely studious intentions. And he couldn't ask his aunt to be a training dummy for him, though he would have liked it a lot.

He checked his status daily, and after the first few days it had changed a bit:

Hidden Hand Technique lv2

Angel Hand Massage Technique lv2]

He had reached lv5 for the Instant Dungeon that day, and had unlocked 2 instances: The Ghost Town dungeon and the Slums dungeon. The reason he reached that level so fast was because he tried to control the size of the ID, and the instances he unlocked was because he used it in the slums and the graveyard. He was aiming for them. In the first one he would encounter squeletons and zombies, and in the second ones he would encounter thieves and thugs.

He would be able to train all his combat and stealth skills at the same time, use his grimoire and summon his guardian beast, get xp and loot, and freeing more time for innate qi and body cultivation.

[Earth and Heaven Cultivation Technique lv4

+2 constitution and spirit per skill level, +1 constitution and spirit per level]

[Moutain Tigre Body Cultivation lv4

+2 strenght, constitution and agility per skill level, + 1 strenght, constitution and agillity per level]

While training in any skills raised related attributes over time, the innate qi cultivation and body cultivation increased strenght, constitution, agility and spirit more often. Strenght and constitution affected the amount of life, constitution and dexterity affected the amount of stamina, and constitution and spirit affected the amount of qi. With dexterity being raised by training all his combat and support skills, training those 2 skills was very important for his life, stamina and qi.

As he was thinking of his coming expeditions in the ID, his aunt came to see him.

"San-er, your Fourth Uncle had heard the news that you had successfully made a contract with a summoning grimoire. He was overjoyed and went to our clan's main castle to report to our clan elder. He will be back in a few days. Also, with the 1000 gold coins we saved over the last few years, he managed to buy a Spirit Beast Awakening Knowledge pill from the Floating Mist market."

"EARGH!"

Samuel didn't remember this part of the novel, but he wasn't happy. His aunt and uncle had just used an incredible amount of money to get something inferior to the pill he bough from the Shop. 1 gold coin was equal to 100 silver coins and 10 000 copper coins, so 1000 gold coins was a very large amount of money. He choked on his breath at the massive waste of money, and his reaction stopped Xian.

"Sell it back" he almost yelled!!

"What? But it would help a lot with your training if you took the pill. You could even promote to level 2. You contracted late, so you have to catch up to your peers, and live up to your uncle and my hopes. Your parents would also hope that you would be successful in the future and bring glory to our Yue Clan. Why are you so stubborn?"

"First, I don't need it. My body was already improved due to the previous incident. Second, right now I'm building a strong foundation for my power. It's not something that should be rushed, relying on cultivation pills this early would just give me a weak base. I will not take. Sell it back, or keep it for little Shuang."

"Ah... I will leave it aside for now. We can talk about it when your uncle comes here. I have also written a letter to ask Bing-er to take a leave from school and come back home. She could teach you some basic summoning skills. I think she would be back by tomorrow."

"Good. I look foreward to seeing them. Though I hope Fourth Uncle will be careful on the way."

'Fictional Yue Yang never met Yue Ling. Something is supposed to happen to him on the way here. Since he is already on the move, we can't contact him. Isn't he supposed to be poisoned with 2 differents substances and kept in coma until his death? I'll have to do something about it.'

"Besides, Shuang-er is still too young, how would you know if she could not make a summoning grimoire contract in the future?"

"That little brat is too lively to fail her grimoire contract" he retorted lightly with a grin. He knew the girl had some talent.
