章節 8: Why?
"Sorry, I'm late." I said, walking toward the table.
Good thing it's 8pm, not many students are here even if the restaurant is right in front of the school. Not as noisy as during the day time, perfect for us. Don't you think, Eric?
"No worries. What's up?" Eric said.
"Oh nothing." I forcefully invited him here and said it's for nothing. Am I crazy?
"Oh~" He replies.
I stared at him for a long while.
"So should we order food?" He continued.
I slowly lean in by climbing on to the table. Our faces get closer as my right elbow touches the table and my palm carry my chin.
"Do you remember me?" I asked.
"Uh… What are you talking about?" He replied.
"Miya. Miya the one you promised to marry?" I continued.
"Accidental kiss at 5th grade." I said.
"Touchy hands of yours when we play in your backyard?" I continued. I miss those eyes so much.
"Umm" He murmured.
"Hm?" I tilted my head.
"Yes! Yes. I still do… remember you." He replies.
"I'm just scared." He continued.
My heart is racing with excitement. At least he still remembers me.
"Scared of what?" I leaned in closer to kiss him.
"MM!" He made a noise as I pull back.
"It's public." He said.
"It's about you. Now tell me what are you scared of?" I said.
"When I left without telling you?" He replied, turning his face away.
"You know." I said as I slowly pull myself back to my seat.
"I was okay." I lied.
"10 years, Eric." I continued.
"It's not fun dreaming about you. Everyday." I continued.
"I'm sorry." He replied.
"Why?" I said.
"Why did you leave?" I continued.
Silence.
"I can't say." He said.
I sighed.
"Do you ever think about me?" I asked.
"Yes. Yes, I do." He replied.
"Then do you still have feelings for me?" I continued.
He paused.
Why am I like this?
"It's okay. I understand." I said.
"I'm sorry." I continued.
I stood up.
"If you wouldn't say a thing, then I'll never give up. So one day tell me before things between us get worse." I stood up.
"Also, thanks for being here." I left the table and walk toward the door.
It's not okay. 10 years for nothing Eric. Silence even break me more. At least say something.
Tears start filling up in my eyes as I walk.
I should give up.
Since he left.
Shouldn't I?
I found myself sitting on the floor, bumped into someone at the door.
"Miya?" It's Liam's voice. He can't see me like this.
I couldn't take it anymore. I don't want to deal with anything. I'm tired.

I just wanna go home.
"I'm sorry." Liam said as he try to lift me up.
"That's okay." I blocked his arm, arms on my knees pushing myself back up.
"Thanks." I smiled and turn to the door.
"Do you~" Liam walk to my sight.
"Do you want me to take you home?" He asked.
What is happening?
"Uh It's okay. I can call my friends." I replied.
"Please?" He insisted.
"Hmm~ Okay."

DustySwift I sincerely apologize for the lack of new chapters to this novel. As I was really busy with school and work. And How It took me a little too much time to work on each chapters. And You might notice a lot of grammar mistakes but please bare with me. I will try to post new chapters as much as I could but not 5 times a week because hahaha I can't.
