"There's been an encounter with the rebels. As of now, we don't have an update yet. But we are already sending reinforcement." Marcus said, our common friend.
It's been a week already since they went scouting. I missed him. How I wish I could tell him that I missed him, his voice, our sweet messages. But there's no signal in the mountain, and the update of our common friend is my only source of joy.
There's no label yet between us. And I don't have the courage to ask him where are we now, our status. But emotionally, I know we are at the level of "more than friends."
Today is my birthday. But here I am at my desk, trembling and praying that he's in good hands. Praying hard that they could go home safely. Does he know that today is my special day? I hope he will back to me safe and sound. That's the only gift I ever ask.
