章節 99: Accident ?? What Accident ??

After saying goodbyes, Xu Zhuya and Wu Yanchen went in different directions. While Xu Zhuya was heading home, Wu Yanchen was going to meet Li Wei.

Inside the car, Xu Zhuya was putting Wu Muqing to sleep. He laid down on her thighs and closed his eyes. Xu Zhuya caressed his hair and put him to sleep.

As she was putting Wu Muqing to sleep, her phone rang. Seeing the caller ID, she instantly picked up.

"Su Wan !!!"

Su Wan who was worried that Xu Zhuya won't pick up was excited to hear her friend's voice. She gave a big smile and said "Xu Zhuya !!!"

They went along with their usual chatting for a while and then Su Wan started to ask what she actually wanted to ask.

"You will be coming to our wedding, right ??" She didn't allow her to speak and continued "Song Jung already have sent you the location. Check in your phone. Or else, message me or him when you reach Country Z. We all need you over here. If you won't come, then we won't marry. So you have to come, Alright ??"

Xu Zhuya didn't know what to say. She felt herself being a burden to Wu Yanchen and now if she was to go to Country Z, it was going to be more burdensome. But, she didn't wanted to reject her friend.

So, she just agreed, afterall; friends are someone which you can't deny to.

Su Wan squealed in excitement as she heard her friend assuring her that she was to come to the wedding. She jumped up and down in excitement and kissed on the phone screen. She said with uneven breathing "You are the best, Xu Zhuya!!! I love you!!"

Xu Zhuya laughed at her behavior. Hearing her uneven breathing, she laughed even more. "You are still the same, Su Wan. Haha !!"

After a little more chitchat, Su Wan hung up the phone.

Xu Zhuya looked at the screen as she heard the disconnecting sound. Su Wan's and Song Jung's photo was kept as their display picture.

She touched the photo with her hand and said "Have a happy life you two !!"

Wu Yanchen who was almost going to reach the location received a call. It was from Wu Fan. He picked up the call and kept it on speaker.

"Hello !!"

"Hello ?? Who is this ??" Wu Yanchen felt weird as he heard a voice which he had never heard before. Not only the unknown person's voice, he was able to hear more voices, like of a crowd talking.

"Are you a relative of this person ??"

"Yes, I'm his brother. Who are you ??"

"I'm sorry to say this, but, your brother got into an accident." The man said sorrowfully.

"Accident ?? What are you talking about ??" Wu Yanchen hadn't expected of something this bad. The moment he heard the word 'accident', he felt himself weak. He felt his hands shake.

With his trembling hands, he picked up the phone and asked "What accident ??"

"I don't know. I was just closing my shop when I heard a smashing sound. By the time, I came to see, the person driving the car was already unconscious and the boy in the back seat was crying immensely..."

The moment he heard the word boy, Wu Yanchen remembered that Wu Fan wasn't the only one who was in the car; Xu Zhuya and Wu Muqing were in it too.

He asked immediately thereby, breaking the man's words "How is the boy and the woman ??"

"The boy is just fine. He is with us now. My wife is looking after him. And as for the woman..." The man stopped. He didn't know how to describe it.

"The woman what ?? Just say it already !!" When Wu Yanchen didn't hear any more from the man, he felt himself struck by lightning. Sweat started to form on his forehead and he yelled asking the man to continue.

"Well, she... umm.. she was bleeding very badly. It seems she was the one who was hurt the most since the car came directly from the side where she had sat."

Getting no reply, the man continued again "The ambulance came and took them to The Life Hospital. I'm also heading over there. You too, come to the hospital." After saying this the man hung up the phone.

Wu Yanchen sat in his car not doing anything. As the disconnected beeps were heard, he bought it down from his ear.

Holding it tightly in his hand, he sat there all shocked and frightened.

He couldn't do anything as tears endlessly escaped his eyes. He just sat there in deep shock and cried even louder.

"Do you actually want to snatch my whole family away from me, Huh ??" He yelled while looking up. "Do you actually want me to stay alone for the rest of my life without my family, huh ?? Tell me !!! Why am I the only one who have to suffer like this ?? Why me ?? Why my family ??

And most importantly, why her ?? Is it because that she married me after her divorce ?? Is it because that I'm not too good for her, that is the reason why you slowly are taking her away from me ?? Tell me, why ?? Just f**king tell me why !!! WHY, JUST WHY ??"

"You won't answer even if I rip my throat apart by screaming and yelling like this. You never answer me. It's futile !!"
