Antimatter is worth $62.5 trillion per gram (diamond is only worth $40k). [Bananas produce this stuff naturally]
You may be wondering if matter is any physical substance, how can the anti (opposite) of it have a weight. [gas is a state of matter and has weight] The reason for this name is because antimatter is composed of the antiparticles of the corresponding particles of matter. For example an antiproton is the antiparticle of a proton. The anti variant keeps the same mass as the normal variant, but it has the opposite charge (proton has a positive charge, antiproton has a negative charge).
Contact between a particle and an antiparticle leads to mutual annihilation and a release of energy dependent on the total mass (E=mc^2 E;energie m;mass c;speed of light).
The observable universe (everything we can see from earth) is almost entirely made up of ordinary matter.
The current theory on gravity states that the force of gravity should be the same on any kind of matter. This has yet to be proven with antimatter as even if there were differences, we might not be able to record them (however theoretically it should).
Although antimatter bombs may sound awesome and destructive, the amount of antimatter that has been collected is so minuscule that a match would be more dangerous. A gram of antimatter could produce an explosion comparable to a nuclear bomb. However it would cost a "tad" bit more at $62.5 trillion.
Scientists have discovered a particle that is both matter and antimatter. The Majorana particles are a type of particles that can be electrons and anti electrons at the same time.
Scientists are also confused about why the universe didn't disintegrate itself during the big bang as an even amount of antimatter and ordinary matter should have been produced. This would have turned the Big Bang into a "Huge Bang".
