章節 8: You Remind Me Of My Master
Moyasu: "Surrender, You're outmatched." He proclaimed as he slowly approached Ryūsei. "Even if you have Divine Protection, You won't beat me." He added.
Ryūsei: "Why would I give up…" Ryūsei muttered, slowly getting up.
Ryūsei: "Why would I surrender to the person who gave up on everything…" Ryūsei proclaimed, looking at Moyasu.
Ryūsei: "Who gave up on his friends, family and his duty… The one who gave up on his teacher's-" Ryūsei added.
Moyasu: "You don't know anything about me!!!" Moyasu yelled.
"Ash Dragon Scorch Eagle" Moyasu then chanted a spell, a barrage of grey eagles headed straight at Ryūsei. They exploded around Ryūsei causing a layer of explosions to occur around him, knocking him back to a nearby wall.
Ryūsei: "It's true I don't know anything… But I do know one thing" Ryūsei proclaimed, trying to stand up once again.
Ryūsei: "Would Arashi be thrilled seeing you like this?" He asked, he stood up looking at Moyasu with a serious look.
Moyasu: "Never speak of my master, especially if you don't even know him!!" Moyasu yelled, he was extremely angry. He then charged straight for Ryūsei.
"Meteor Dragon: Photon Blade" Ryūsei chanted a spell, a white sword made of light appeared in his right hand.
Moyasu then tried to hit Ryūsei's face with his right fist, luckily Ryūsei managed to dodge it. He then used his photon blade to quickly counter Moyasu but unfortunately like before, It just passed through its body and created another explosion knocking him back some more.
Ryūsei: "There has to be a limitation for that spell" Ryūsei muttered, some of his clothes were already burned and torn from hitting the ground.
He grabbed his photon sword once again and charged straight at Moyasu. Moyasu tried to punch him again but like before Ryūsei managed to dodge the attack and counter him again. Unfortunately, like before, the photon sword passed through Moyasu's body, creating an explosion again, knocking him back once again.
Moyasu: "You don't know when to give up, do you?" Moyasu asked, looking at Ryūsei. Even though Ryūsei was knocked to the ground, he continued to stand up.
Ryūsei: "And you don't know when to shut up, do you?" Ryūsei asked, trying to insult Moyasu. Ryūsei grabbed his photon blade once again and charged straight at Moyasu.
He attacked Moyasu once again, creating an explosion knocking him back, but before he was knocked back to the ground, he threw his photon sword at Moyasu.
Moyasu was shocked seeing Ryūsei's sudden counter attack. He quickly dodges the attack by tilting his head. The sudden attack of Ryūsei causes both of the Elementalist to be shocked.
Moyasu: "Dammit, did this kid figure out the secret to my spell?" Moyasu worriedly muttered in thought.
Ryūsei: "Why did he dodge that attack…" Ryūsei muttered, trying to figure out the sudden change of Moyasu's movement.
Ryūsei: "Could it be?..." Ryūsei muttered, quickly getting up from the ground.
"Meteor Dragon: Photon Blades" Ryūsei chanted a spell, a white sword made of light appeared both in his two hands. He then charges straight at Moyasu holding the two photon blades in his hands.
He attacked Moyasu, and like before another explosion occurred knocking him back once again. He then threw his two photon blades at Moyasu, and to his surprise Moyasu moved and dodge the two photon blades.
Moyasu: "This kid... He already figured it out" He muttered, with an annoyed expression.
Ryūsei: "I knew it, There has to be a limitation to your spell" Ryūsei proclaimed, looking at the shocked Moyasu.
Ryūsei: "Your spell is indeed strong, but it could only activate once before having a short time interval to recharge" Ryūsei proclaimed.
Ryūsei: "That's why you dodge the photon blades I threw earlier. You couldn't activate the spell since I just triggered it" He added.
Moyasu: "You have a sharp eye, But even knowing how my spell works still won't change the outcome" Moyasu proclaimed.
Moyasu: "That's right, You need to trigger it to make me vulnerable for a short time interval. But unfortunately for you, even with Divine Protection, You'll still take the damage from my explosions" Moyasu proclaimed, looking at Ryūsei, He didn't say a word and just kept silent.
Moyasu: "Not talking are we? You've finally realized your out match-" Moyasu proclaimed, before being interrupted by Ryūsei.
Ryūsei: "It's not that, It's ironic, I have a spell just to counter the scenario we're in" Ryūsei proclaimed.
Moyasu: "Is that so? Or is it all just a big bluff. No matter what you do, I'll just dodge the blades like before" Moyasu proclaimed, he was now very confident of the possible outcome of the fight.
Ryūsei: "It won't happen like before, After all… It's your lost" Ryūsei proclaimed.
"Meteor Dragon: Sword Dance v8" Ryūsei chanted a spell, and eight white blades made of light appeared behind him floating in mid air. Moyasu was shocked indeed, he never knew that a kid as young as Ryūsei would be able to chant a spell at that difficulty.
Moyasu: "Deno, Misaku…" Moyasu called out his two remaining subordinates.
"Your orders, Boss" The two replied.
Moyasu: "Take the girl out of the base as quickly as possible" Moyasu proclaimed.
Misaku: "But why boss?" Misaku worriedly asked.
Moyasu: "The situation has changed" He replied.
Deno: "It doesn't make sense, we won't leave you abandon you, I refuse to follow your orders" Deno proclaimed.
Misaku: "That's right, you're beating him aren't you? We won't abandon you boss" He added.
Moyasu: "Stop being stubborn and listen to me, The negotiation with the warden is futile for our plan to succeed, If the girl gets rescued our efforts will all be nothing but wasted" He proclaimed.
Misaku: "We won't let him rescue the girl, that spell he just pulled off is nothing but special. I'm sure it's completely useless against you" He proclaimed.
Moyasu: "It's not… It's the perfect spell to counter my ash cloak" Moyasu replied, shocking both his two subordinates.
Deno: "That can't be… How are you even sure?" Deno worriedly asked, he couldn't believe what he's hearing.
Moyasu: " I have no idea how that kid even learned or even inherited that spell but I recognize that spell no matter what shape or form…" Moyasu proclaimed.
Moyasu: "But one thing is for certain, He is the 4th Grand Elementalist… After all, the spell he just pulled off… Is one of Arashi's offensive spells" Moyasu proclaimed.
Moyasu: "It's the perfect offensive spell for both melee and ranged attacks… Just looking at it brings back memories I rather not remember" He proclaimed.
"We understand… Be careful" The two subordinates proclaimed. They grabbed the girl but unfortunately four of the floating blades behind Ryūsei suddenly attacked the two of them.
"Meteor Dragon: Photon Blade!!!!" Ryūsei then chanted a spell, and a white sword made of light appeared in his right hand. The four remaining light swords behind him then dispersed and quickly made its way towards Moyasu with Ryūsei charging straight at him.
The four floating blades managed to stab Moyasu causing his ash cloak to trigger, creating a huge explosion around him. And unfortunately for him, right after the explosion ended Ryūsei was now in front of him ready to attack.
"Ash Dragon: Scorch Blade" Moyasu quickly chanted a spell, and a grey sword appeared in his left hand. Moyasu managed to block the attack, but it was clear enough to tell that the real fight had now begun.
The floating blades that attack Moyasu returned once again, trying to attack him from behind, unfortunately the attack missed wyen Moyasu backed away trying to get some distance from Ryūsei.
"Dammit these floating blades again!!! They're so annoying!!!!!" Deno pissedly yelled as he was being attacked by the floating blade.
"Wind Art: Aerial Cut!!!!!!" "Metal Axe!!!" Both Deno and Misaku chanted a spell, desperately trying to defend themselves against the four floating blades. Mizūmi the daughter of the Warden had woken up and she saw the perfect opportunity and slowly escaped from Deno and Misaku.
Misaku: "Hey!!!! Where do you think you're going??!! Deno!!!!" Misaku yelled, seeing the girl trying to escape while they're distracted.
"I hear you loud and clear!!" Deno replied. "Weapon Art: Flame Cannon!!!!" Deno quickly chanted a spell, and a red cannon made of fire suddenly appeared in front of him.
Moyasu and Ryūsei continued to trade blades with one another with the four floating blades triggering Moyasu's ash cloak, He is forced to be on the defensive.
"Sorry, But you're not getting away!!!! Unharmed!!!!" Deno proclaimed, launching a giant fireblast at Mizūmi.
Mizūmi tried to run as quickly as she could but with her hands tied up with special handcuffs that wouldn't allow her to use her Elemental Art, She could use any spells to run away quickly. She had a huge head start with both Misaku and Deno being distracted but she began to run slowly as she started becoming tired.
Ryūsei: "This is bad.." Ryūsei muttered, noticing the huge fireblast slowly getting closer to Mizūmi. "I need to think of something quick" He added.
Moyasu: "Your opponent is me!!" Moyasu proclaimed, throwing his sword at Ryūsei. Luckily Ryūsei manages to dodge the sword.
Even though he has the advantage against Moyasu, He still needs to both fight and hold off against the former Gādian and rescue the daughter of the warden.
Ryūsei: "I have no choice but to use this spell" Ryūsei muttered. He then manipulated the four floating white light swords and he quickly attacked Moyasu triggering his ash cloaked once again causing an explosion.
He then threw his photon blade at him, which like before Moyasu easily dodges the sword. The fireblast was a few inches away from her and she started to accept death... Suddenly a floating white blade made of light was in front of the fire blast and stabbed Mizūmi's left leg.
"What is he doing??!! Why did he attack the person he was trying to save" Both Misaku and Deno thought in unison, seeing one of the floating blades stabbed the girl's legs.
"Meteor Dragon: Photon Switch" Ryūsei then chants a spell, teleporting him to the photon blade which he had thrown. He catches Moyasu off guard as he was surprised to see the white hair Elementalist suddenly appearing in front of him.
"Meteor Dragon: Photon Fist" Ryūsei chanted a spell, gathering a tremendous amount of energy in his right hand. He then punches Moyasu in the face creating a massive shockwave.
"Meteor Dragon: Photon Switch!!" Ryūsei quickly chanted a spell after making direct contact with Moyasu, Moyasu and Mizūmi then switched places causing Mizūmi to appear in front of Ryūsei. The switch happened so fast that the one who got hit with the fireblast was Moyasu instead.
Moyasu was then knocked to the ground as the blast exploded causing an explosion. "Moyasu!!!" Deno and Misaku both yelled. They were both surprised seeing their boss appeared out of nowhere and got hit with a fireblast.
Ryūsei quickly then carries Mizūmi in a bridal position, quickly trying to get some distance from Moyasu and the subordinates. He hid in one of the abandoned rooms and quickly removed the white blade stabbed on her leg.
Ryūsei: "I'm very sorry for stabbing your leg, but it was the only way for me to use my spell" Ryūsei proclaimed, apologizing to the confused girl.
Ryūsei: "Your wounds will feel like they're being burned, So just hold on a little" Ryūsei proclaimed.
Mizūmi: "It's fine.. It doesn't hurt that bad… Could you remove the handcuffs so I could heal myself" She replied.
Mizūmi: "Who are you?" The girl nervously asked, Ryūsei then summoned out his photon swords and he destroyed the handcuffs that bound the girl's arms.
Ryūsei: "I'm Ryūsei Ryūgū, I was sent here by your father to rescue you." Ryūsei happily proclaimed.
Mizūmi: "How is he??? Is my dad alright???" She worriedly asked. Ryūsei however just smiled, causing the girl to be more worried.
Ryūsei: "He's doing fine, He's at the hospital getting his injuries treated." He happily replied. The seven remaining floating blades disperse, heading it's way towards Moyasu's location.
Ryūsei: "Could you stay here and hide for a second? I'll be back once it's all over" Ryūsei proclaimed, and Mizūmi nodded in response. "Excuse me for a sec" Ryūsei happily proclaimed, before disappearing in front of Mizūmi's eyes.
Moyasu: "What the hell just happened-" Moyasu muttered, before hearing a familiar voice. He was laying down on the ground with his hands spread on the floor.
"Meteor Dragon: Photon Switch" Ryūsei then chanted a spell, teleporting above Moyasu.
Moyasu: "What the-" Moyasu muttered in shock seeing Ryūsei in front of him, he tried to move but unfortunately the seven remaining floating swords stabbed his clothes causing him to be pinned on the ground.
"Meteor Dragon: Photon Fist" Ryūsei chanted a spell, gathering a tremendous amount of Meteor Dragon energy in his right hand.
He then punches Moyasu so hard, The ground beneath them couldn't take the shockwave of the attack, creating a huge crater below them.
"Moyasu!!!!" "Boss!!" Deno and Misaku worriedly yelled.
Meteor Dragon: Photon Switch is a spell that let's Ryūsei switch places between two targets as long as both of them are directly in contact with him or his energy. He could also instantly teleport himself or an object to the mark target.
Suddenly a huge explosion occurred knocking Ryūsei back. "He had me worried, But now he's actually taking this seriously.." Deno happily proclaimed with a smirk on his face.
Moyasu: "I must praise you, Ryūsei Ryūgū." Moyasu proclaimed, slowly getting out of the huge crater. "It's been a long time since I was pushed this far to use this spell." He added.
"Weapon Art: Ash Mask!!!" Deno chanted a spell, creating two ash masks. "Misaku, Take this" Deno proclaimed, giving one of the ash masks to Misaku and both of them immediately put it on.
"Dragon Sage Secret Art: Ash Apocalypse!!!!" Moyasu chanted a spell, and suddenly the entire underground bunker was slowly starting to be covered by ash.
"Meteor Dragon: Photon Blade" Ryūsei chanted a spell, and a white sword of made light appeared in his hand. He quickly charges straight at Moyasu.
Moyasu: "Ash Dragon: Scorch Blade" Moyasu chanted a spell, a grey sword appeared in his hand. The two traded blades once more but this time Ryūsei was faster and more offensive.
Unfortunately the moment Ryūsei's blade touches Moyasu an explosion occurs and suddenly due to the ash all around them multiple explosions occurred simultaneously.
With multiple explosions occurring simultaneously, Ryūsei was knocked to the ground multiple times. Moyasu then slowly approaches Ryūsei.
"Ash Dragon: Scorcher" Moyasu chanted a spell, his hands then began to cover with flames. He then punches Ryūsei so hard that an explosion occurred during the impact creating a crater beneath them. Blood then comes out of Ryūsei's mouth and Moyasu then grabs Ryūsei's head.
"Ash Dragon: Scorch Tiger" Moyasu chanted a spell, a grey tiger appeared in his hand and it quickly detonated causing an explosion hitting Ryūsei along with it.
"Ryusei!!!!!" Ryūsei heard a yell, He turned around to see Mizūmi captured once again. Her body was wrapped in chains and was hanging from the top of a window.
Ryūsei: "What the heck!!" Ryūsei angrily yelled. "Do you really think I wouldn't find her? This is my base after all" Moyasu replied.
"Ash Dragon: Scorch Eagle" Moyasu chanted a spell, a barrage of grey eagles soar into the air and quickly approaches Mizūmi. Ryūsei quickly ran after the grey eagles trying to catch up to them.
"Meteor Dragon: Photon Blade" Ryūsei chanted a spell, a white sword made of light appeared in his hand. He threw his sword at Mizūmi and luckily it cutted the chain causing her to fall down.
The moment the grey eagles hit the building Mizūmi was hanging from and it quickly detonates, causing a tremendous explosion. Because of the ash around the air, multiple explosions occurred above Mizūmi, hitting her in the process.
Ryūsei then caught Mizūmi in mid air, causing him to crash at a nearby building, destroying its wall creating a huge hole.
Mizūmi: "Ryūsei are you alright?!!" Mizūmi worriedly asked. "I'm fine, It's just a scratch that's all" Ryūsei replied, slowly getting up but due to the injuries he received and blood flowing out of his head he fell down.
Mizūmi: "That's-" Mizūmi muttered, blood suddenly came out of Mizūmi's mouth and she fell to the ground.
Ryūsei: "Mizūmi!!!!" Ryūsei quickly yelled. "Mizūmi!!!-" Ryūsei yelled once more but before Ryūsei could react Moyasu then grabbed his head.
Ryūsei: "Let go!!!" Ryūsei pissedly yelled. "Okay" Moyasu replied with a smirk on his face and he then threw Ryūsei outside the building.
"Ash Dragon: Scorch Bomb!!!!" Moyasu chanted a spell, and an explosion occurred near Ryūsei hitting him and knocking him back.
With the air filled with ash, multiple explosions occurred simultaneously near Ryūsei and hitted him once again, knocking him to the ground.
Ryūsei: "Mizūmi....." Ryūsei slowly muttered, trying to get up. "It seems she won't be around anymore." Moyasu proclaimed, slowly approaching him with a smirk on his face.
Ryūsei: "What have you done???" Ryūsei angrily asked, glaring at Moyasu. "It's the spell effect of the spell I casted earlier" Moyasu replied.
Moyasu: "Dragon Sage Secret Art: Ash Apocalypse"
"A spell that allows me to create a rain of endless amount of ash in the surroundings, And once something detonates it creates multiple explosion simultaneously after the detonates occurrence"
"The spell also has another spell effect, It creates a toxic environment that once the air is inhaled it'll slowly decay your insides. The more you inhale the air the more you'll suffer"
"You on the other hand have the ability known as Divine Protection, the ability to be immune to Spell Effects. But the girl over here doesn't have that ability, either way both of you won't survive."
Ryūsei: "I gotta go and take her to the hospital." Ryūsei muttered, he quickly stood up and tried to approach Mizūmi. Unfortunately Moyasu quickly kicks Ryūsei and knocks him back. Ryusei then quickly gets up and tries to approach Mizūmi once more.
Ryūsei: "Let me through!!!! I gotta go save her!!!!" Ryūsei angrily yelled.
Moyasu: "Save.... Could you actually save someone... Even from a foe who you couldn't even beat....." Moyasu proclaimed, he began asking Ryūsei.
Ryūsei: "What are you....." Ryūsei confusedly asked.
Moyasu: "An A-Rank could only do an A-Rank, A B-Rank could only do a B-Rank, In the Elemental World, You don't get to decide what your limits are, It has already been decided the moment you were ranked" Moyasu proclaimed.
Moyasu: "Tell me..... Could you actually save someone from a foe who you're powerless against? Could you save someone from a foe who you know you couldn't beat?" He asked.
Moyasu: "You're the Grand Elementalist, You're supposed to be protecting the people you swore to protect, Yet why can't you?" Moyasu proclaimed.
Moyasu: "It's no difference really, people just say those words in order to secure people's loyalty. People can only remember the failure of one's actions, no matter how much good you've done." Moyasu proclaimed, walking towards Ryūsei.
Moyasu: "That's why the Moyasu gang aims to create a village worthy enough to clench the Fallen God and bring him to his end" Moyasu proclaimed.
Ryūsei: "That's not peace, You're just aiming for revenge!!" Ryūsei yelled, Moyasu kicked him again, knocking to the ground. He then places his foot above Ryūsei's head.
Moyasu: "What do you know about him?? You have no idea how painful it is to lose someone you cared about helplessly!!!-" Moyasu yelled, before being interrupted.
Ryūsei: "I don't know anything about your past!! I don't know how much Arashi means to you!! But I do know… Would he want to see what you've become?!!" Ryūsei yelled at him, removing Moyasu's foot from his hand. Moyasu then falls back, maintaining a couple of distance from Ryūsei.
Ryūsei: "Would he want to see someone who abandoned what he protected the most?!! Would he want to see someone he sacrificed his life for end up turning into nothing but a rogue criminal" Ryūsei proclaimed, looking at Moyasu.
Moyasu: "You don't know him!!!" Moyasu angrily yelled. "I don't, but he'd be pretty disappointed," Ryūsei replied.
Ryūsei: "Revenge is never the answer, you'll never find peace no matter what you do"
Moyasu: "What do you know about revenge??!!" Moyasu angrily asked, and Ryūsei just smiled.
Ryūsei: "Sometimes the best revenge is to smile and move on. If you concentrate on revenge, you will keep those wounds fresh that would otherwise have been healed. " Ryūsei replied.
Ryūsei: "It's not too late to change, it's not too late to fix all of this. Give up on your revenge and find peace" Ryūsei proclaimed, tears began crying down from his eyes.
The fighting ended for a few seconds with Moyasu looking at Ryūsei seeing an image of a young Elementalist with yellowish blue hair.
Ryūsei: "Let's go back to the Kingdom… Moyasu" Ryūsei and the young Elementalist happily proclaimed.
Moyasu: "Master...." Moyasu muttered, seeing the image of Arashi. Tears began falling from his eyes, he clenched his fist and yelled.
Moyasu: "Find peace? Give up on my revenge? Who do you think you are?…" Moyasu muttered.
Moyasu: "Just because you look like Arashi, it doesn't mean you're him" Moyasu proclaimed.
Moyasu: "Find peace and move on? How could I find peace if the person who gave it to me is already dead" Moyasu proclaimed.
Moyasu: "And you're saying to give up my revenge, give up my revenge on the person who killed him. The person who killed your grandfather" Moyasu replied.
Moyasu: "Arashi would be pretty disappointed in you, forgiving the person who killed him. That's a lot of balls coming from you" Moyasu proclaimed. "People like you just make me sick," He added.
The ash inside the underground bunker began to gather and surrounded Moyasu. It soon started to turn into grey light, grey energy, Ash Dragon Energy. Moyasu wasn't just mad, he was furious, Ryūsei was the living resemblance of his greatest regret. It's like Arashi telling him to stop because he failed.
"Ash Dragon: Scorch Leviathan" Moyasu chanted a spell, the ash energy around him gathered in his right hand. He then releases the energy all at once forming a huge energy blast in the shape of a giant sea dragon. It's heading straight for Ryūsei, destroying everything in its path.
Ryūsei just smiled and stared at the giant energy blast heading straight for him, he didn't even bother to move. "What's he doing? Why is he just standing there?" Both Misaku and Deno worriedly muttered.
"Meteor Dragon: Photon Blade" Ryūsei chanted a spell, a white sword made of light appeared in his hand.
Ryūsei: "Grandfather… Forgive me…" Ryūsei muttered.
Ryūsei: "Dragon Sage Secret Art: Collision Slash" Ryūsei chanted a spell, a whitish aura then surrounded his entire body and his sword began to glow white, gathering a tremendous amount of energy in his photon blade. He charges straight at the giant energy blast in front of him.
Ryūsei then used his photon blade to cut the giant energy blast causing the two spells to collide. Ryūsei was getting closer and closer to Moyasu while cutting the giant energy blast.
"This kid.... he's....." Moyasu muttered, shocked to see Ryūsei trying to cut his spell. He saw an image of Arashi once again causing him to be paralyzed.
Ryūsei: "Moyasu!!!" Ryūsei yelled, he finally cutted through the giant energy blast nullifying it completely. He then attacks Moyasu, slashing his sword at his chest, hitting him with the spell. Moyasu could've easily moved or dodge the attack, but the image of Arashi causes him to be shocked.
Moyasu then looks at Ryūsei for the last time, seeing a perfect image of Arashi smiling at him. After almost a decade of being rogue and lost, he finally found the smile who made him see the light once again.
Moyasu: "Ryūsei..... Ryūgū.....You remind..... me....of my master..... Arashi..... Ryūgū...." Moyasu happily muttered with a smile on his face, before falling down to the ground and passing out.
Deno: "No way... He actually.... defeated..... Moyasu....." Deno muttered, speechless on what he saw, he didn't want to fight anymore.
"We... surrender..." Misaku muttered, falling down on the ground on his back, he too was speechless on what he just witnessed. The Elementalist from the village then began to arrive at the underground bunker and they quickly arrested the members of the Moyasu Gang one by one.
Ryūsei: "It's over... I won...." Ryūsei muttered, falling to the ground with a smile on his face before passing out.
