章節 10: Chapter 6.5: [Aria]
*sob* *sob*
In the forest near the boundary of the west kingdom, a girl's sobbing could be heard.
"Hey Ella, why are you crying?" asked by the boy while looking at the crying young girl.
"Uhhh... my pet rabbit died last night." *sob**sob*
"You mean the white one with a pink ribbon on its neck?"
*sob* "Yeah. She fell from the balcony of my room last night." the girl remained downcast as she recalled what happened the night before.
"Well, no wonder it died. Haha…" hearing the reason of the girl losing her pet, the boy can't help but laugh on how silly the rabbit to jump off from that high balcony.
"You're laughing?! You're so mean! I hate you Regis! I hate you! Uwahhh~!"
The young girl became more upset because of the uncaring attitude of the boy. She's so upset that she charged at the boy and rained him down with her cute little fists as tears resumed to spill down from her eyes.
Seeing the girl who cries again and became more upset, the boy—
"Don't cry Ella... Sorry... I didn't mean that." the boy stilled as he let the girl let out her frustration. Although the girl's little punches didn't hurt, the sight of the girl crying like that is what pained him the most.
"Don't talk to me! I hate you! Meanie! Uwaahhh~!" the girl pushed the boy away and she falls down on her bottom.
On his wit's end, the boy thought about something to do.
He suddenly sat on the ground in front of the girl and closed his eyes, as if he is meditating, then—
"Oh, Origin of Everything, Absolute Magic of Thy Son…"
The boy suddenly started to recite something.
"--?!"
The girl suddenly stops crying when she heard the boy.
*sniff* "Regis, don't tell me-- you can now cast your magic?!"
She can't believe that the boy named Regis can now use magic at their current age.
From the boy's red lips flew a fluent incantation for magic. His dusk-brown hair stood on its ends. A crashing wind started to swirl around him.
"—Thou Shall Accept My Call And Fulfill Thy Wish!"
Holding her breath, the girl named Ella watched him intensely.
—And, pure darkness can be seen from the boy's hand.
As the boy finished his invocation, for a short moment, everything turned into black. It's like the world blinked like an eye.
After that, the boy stood up and grabbed the girl's hand.
"kyaa—"
"Hey, take this. I'll give it to you so don't cry anymore."
The boy placed something on the girl's hand. Then, he smiled at her.
"Uwah~ What's this? It's very shiny..."
The girl is looking at the thing she's holding. A small jet-black gem shaped like a tear.
"That's the best magic I can invoke for now; the very first creation I made so you may call it [Aria] pendant. Its name adapted from yours and only you should have this, okay." the boy smiled at the girl as he told her the details of the gem.
Hearing that the gem she's holding something that important'his first best magic', the girl regained her smile and thanked the boy.
"I-Is that so... then I will treasure this. Thank you, Regis!"
"It's really good to see you smile like that. You're really cute!" the boy moved closer to the girl and told her.
Hearing the boy's compliment on her, the little girl blushed furiously.
"Wha.. whaa. what..? Cute.. what, me?" she stutters. Normally she won't blush when he's calling her cute or pretty but her pounding heart won't let her remain calm.
"Yeah!" unaware of what the girl is feeling right now, the boy gave her a big smile.
The girl's eyes fixed its look on the boy while sitting rooted on the grass and her face still dyed in red. The warmth she's feeling right now seems to flourish as the girl continues to stare at him.
"Are you blushing?"
"N-No! I'm not!"
