"Mom!" Gu Juexi yelled as he kicked the stool nearest to him away. 

This was not the first time that Ye Yuwei had witnessed Wen Jie's persistence. The first time was when she went against Gu Juexi's grandmother for her, and this was the second time—to stop them from investigating Ye Di's death further. 

Ye Yuwei came out of her room and looked at Gu Juexi who was standing with his hands on his hips. 

Ye Yuwei knew her mother-in-law. She might be soft spoken, but she was a persistent woman. Gu Juexi was the best example as he had inherited that trait of hers. So when she said she would do something, it was as good as done. 

Ye Yuwei didn't know what to do after what Wen Jie said. 

"What if we quit investigating?" Ye Yuwei compromised and chose her mother-in-law's side after thinking it through. 

What happened in the Ye Family was not as important as her mother-in-law who had been showing her much love and care.
