章節 1: The Bravest one out there
"Yawn!! What time is it. It's been such a long time since I slept so well" just as our little protagonist was getting up from his bed he heard his mother calling him downstairs for breakfast.
"Honey, wake up. Its breakfast time. Go freshen up quickly and come down" His mother who always was in a grumpy mood due to unknown reason today seemed a bit happy. And the reason of her happiness was because her son today was gonna get his first starter pokemon.
After he freshened up he went straight to the dining room. There he saw his stern faced father sitting on his chair and reading his daily paper while his mother setting up the food.
"Good morning mom and morning dad"
His dad just nodded while his mother asked
"Good morning honey. Did you have a proper sleep. After breakfast packup everything for your trip will you?" Her son who seemed just this small till yesterday has suddenly grown up so much that he is going on his own journey. It felt so surrealistic.
"Mom, I'll be fine and don't worry about me ,you know me and my personality right. I may be just a little bit timid but I can handle this much..I think. Isn't that right dad?" Seeing her son becoming a grown up and accepting his weakness made her think it was the right decision.
"Sigh!! I hope you will not forget about us and return home safe and sound. Don't rush into a battle that you think can't win and always think of a situation that is more beneficial to you. Alright we already have strayed from our original topic. Professor Juniper informed us to come in about half an hour so quickly gobble down that food and get ready"
"Okay mom" he said while trying to keep his tears from falling.
After he finished his breakfast he went to his room and started packing basic items needed for travelling which also included a encyclopedia of various berries and healing plants.
"Ah, I almost forgot lucky" He grabbed a small stuffed toy and packed it safely with other items. 'When going on an adventure a lucky charm is a must' is what his mom always used to say. After he finished packing he changed into a comfortable set of clothes and packed some pair of shoes which might help him in the mountainous parts of the region. After he finished his changing he quickly went down where he saw his mother who waiting for him while tapping her feet on the floor.
"Honey don't you think that you took your time too much and made us waiting too much? "
He suddenly started sweating profusely and immediately wanted to run away from his mom as far as he could..
"Sorry mom, I...I" When he tried to come up with an excuse his mother suddenly interrupted.
"Young man don't waste your time by thinking of an excuse. Your father has been waiting for a long time, so lets hurry up before he changes his mind." He was suddenly surprised.
"What! Father is also going?" He asked surprised
"So what! Don't want your father going?" Her mother replied while turning her head raising her eyebrows somewhat
"No its just that it's unexpected. Won't father miss his work ?" He again asked while following his mom to the car
"No he wont. Even if he misses his work he has to come drop you off. It's the responsibility of a parent to send their child and wish them luck. If he was heartless enough to go to his work then your mother here will be in a court signing a paper of divorce." It suddenly escalated to the point of divorce but he knew that his mother loved father without an end and was just joking.
After they entered the car the mother and son duo started chitchatting about his starter choice while his father sometimes commented too.
Soon they reached the lab.
"Go on son" Surprised about his father's action as he turned a sidelong glance where he saw his father with a genuine smile.
"Send my regards to Professor if you manage to meet he. " His mother also joined in and when he turned to look at her, he saw his mother with an unreadable smile and suddenly had a bad premonition so he immediately glanced away.
"I'm going" he said as he moved towards the lab's entrance.
When he entered the lab he was immediately baffled as he saw assistants running here and there in as if their whole body was in fire. He called out to one.
"Excuse me, I..I am her..e for my starter" Suddenly he had a change in his personality
"Oh you must be the new trainer. But I really hate to break it to you that Professor is currently busy as she found an ancient relic so I'll be the one to hand you your pokemon, come on kiddo let's get you a starter" He immediately had a realization but he didn't think much about it and started following the assistant into a room and in that room was a container which contained three pokeball.
"You're lucky kiddo cause you're the first of your peer and are free to choose from these three pokemon" He called out the three pokemon in which contained three everything but ordinary pokemon.
"You have to make your decision carefully as they will be your partner throughout the region. Now do you want the elegant grass snake pokemon, 'Snivy' or do you want to choose the naughty sea otter pokemon, 'Oshawott' but the brave fire pig pokemon, 'Tepig' might be your ideal. So whom do you choose" They all gave some sort of response while the assistant called out their name which he thought was very cute.
He contemplated for a long time before finally choosing 'Snivy'.
"Hmm, you have chosen a great starter. Now that you have chosen your starter, here is your pokedex. This is a device specially made for the trainers to help them in their journey so use it well." After he got his pokedex he immediately scanned his Snivy.
The cold mechanical voice resounded,
'Snivy, the grass snake pokemon. These pokemon while being exposed to sunlight move more swiftly . It uses its vines more adeptly than its hands. This snivy is a male and currently knows the move: Tackle, Leer, Iron Tail and Twister.'
He immediately knew why the assistant said he made the right decision. This snivy is so powerful!! If this snivy is so powerful then how powerful will the other starters also be? Well not that I care. Yep, I don't care about any of the other pokemon. Well a little ,only itsy bitsy bit. It's not as if someone will stop me right?
When he scanned the others his jaw dropped slightly. The 'Oshawott' had learned assurance and detect while the 'Tepig' had learned yawn and magnitude. After he checked them he felt that he shouldn't have done that. As he wished he could have both of them but he could only smile bitterly.
"Thank you mist..er ass.is...tant" The assistant returned a bright smile.
"It's not a problem now let's return" Saying that he traced his steps backwards while our protagonist just followed him giggling a bit.
When he came out of the lab's entrance there he saw a pair of kids around his age bickering with each other. He just walked past them while both of them headed towards the lab. He seemed to have heard some bits of conversation,
"Ray, Don't walk so fast ,the lab's pokemon won't run away" The girl told but the boy called Ray didn't seemed to listen to the other and commented.
"Granule where did all your energy from the morning go to? It's your fault for coming on foot rather than your bicycle you know!! Girl, Your'e even slower than a slowpoke y,know" The girl called Granule just shrugged her shoulder and moved forward.
Our protagonist thought,'They must be my competitors. But that doesn't matters anyway' while walking away.
Afterwards he reached the place where his parents currently were having their conversations. They seemed to notice him so his mother waved her hands.
"Which pokemon did you choose? And did you send my regards to Professor Juniper " His mother asked with some expectations.
"I selected snivy mom. He is so powerful mom just look at his move" He replied while he tried to steer the conversation away from Professor Juniper.
"Oh my, he has learned twister and iron tail. His weakness are almost none existent aren't they" His mother commented while looking at the pokedex.
His father also joined in,"It is good for a starter"
"Oh!! I almost forgot the gift we prepared for you" She took out a small sort of watch like device from her pocket and kept it in his palms.
"This is a Xtransceiver which will help you to keep in contact with us and other people. So use it well" His father who was a man of few words just commented on it. It was little surprising but he didnt care about it as his gaze was just fixated on the device.
"Thank you mom Thank you dad" He said as he just wore the device around his wrist and gave both of them a big hug.
"Don't forget to call us and be safe in you're journey" She said it as she gave him a hug.
She added "Tell us all about you're adventure after you return , okay"
"Let us drop you till the entrance"
When they reached the entrance of the town they bid him farewell with the best of luck for his upcoming adventure.
So Let us venture with him to find about his journey and what the fate has in store for him

ATUMN Well, it's my first ever story written. It was hectic. I was so confused that I almost thought of leaving this but I couldn't do it. So, point out the mistakes of mine and THANK YOU for reading this
