She is stuck here at work doing God-knows-what.

She glared at the person sitting opposite her.

Seeing that handsome face being so serious as he did his work reminded Beatrice why she had fallen for him so long ago. 

Luckily, her feelings for him had long gone and she was truly happy for him and Betty. It had been very hard the first few months, but soon, it got better. So, now, she could see him and treat him like any other ex-schoolmate of hers.
