Tell me, what's worse than the end of the world...
Being on your period during it,like come on! Disaster movies never prepared us for this , what was the point in making them if they're not realistic. Ugh even the sun rising with turquoise and pink stripes are irritating me. Even through all this it remains pretty and nice,unlike me. I don't have the patience to deal with George for the next couple of days. I think he knows it too.
George's pov:
I wake up to find her cursing at the sunrise,is she sane? Today she treats me colder and gets more upset at my words. It was funny seeing her frustrated at first but I realised that something was wrong. It was...the..the..time of the month! Damn it,how could I forget? Instantly I apologise and I keep apologising for the rest of the day, even when I've done nothing wrong .
Joy pov:
Is he weird or what?
Why does he keep apologising? Did he fart🤷🏽♀️?
'Hey,what's with you today?' I ask
'No..no..nothing much' he whimpers, even I am surprised by how intimidating I can be. I glare at him continuously, practically burning a hole through his eyes. He starts off shakily
'Well wellll you see ,Joy,I mean J..J. I come from a house full of girls so I can sense when you know..'
He stops looking up to meet my eyes, 'sorry for acting this way when you're on your period.'
I'm taken aback at how normal he said it. Most boys think of it as a forbidden word. I never knew he was so caring,guilt starts to build up within me. I never knew he had sisters,I never even asked about his family and where they were.
'It's okay,just stop acting so scared. Jeez, I'm not a violent person.' Now its my turn to meet his eyes 'Thanks for caring' I said in a small voice; which was very unlike me. We do new things everyday I guess. Our awkward smiles quickly turn into laughter and for the first time in a long time I laugh till I can laugh no more.
