Huang Jie's admission to the hospital quickly spread to the media. Everyone received an unknown email regarding his injury and where he was currently located. Soon, reporters surrounded his room and took pictures of his worst state. He looked as if he had aged overnight. He was in an extremely depressive state and strands of gray hair could be seen on his head. He lost his strength to even fight for his pride and dignity. He just sat there hopelessly staring at the flashing cameras in front of him as medical staffs tried to block the reporters from interrupting other patients in the hospital.
The reporters asked countless questions and never received a response from him. After the reporters were escorted out of the hospital by security guards, they quickly raced back to their firms to be the first to put this as their headlines. Overnight, rumors of the Huang family being the main culprit behind his injury spread like fire. Reporters mentioned several occasions from the past where the Huang's clashed with the Shi's. Many gossipers and net citizens reflected negatively towards the news slandering the Huang's for being ignorant rich jerks.
Zhi Hei held an amused expression as he read different articles relating Huang Jie's injury to the Huang family. He smirked and rubbed his chin, "Heh, free advertisement. Good. All set. I was still thinking of the best method to gain the media's attention, now I don't need to."
Shi Xue walked out of the shower and sat on his lap after hearing his sentence. "What are you looking at?"
After reading the news, she smiled, "Since someone's challenging us so straightforwardly, we shouldn't back down either."
"Oh? It seems like you and I have the same thoughts."
"Yep. Let's hold a public meeting. I'll make the them face their worst fear." she smirked and gave him a peck on the lips.
He hugged her by the waist and returned her kiss.
"Let's go eat. We have a nice slap session coming up. I need to make sure you have enough energy."
"Mmm." she smiled sweetly and got off his lap. The couple held each other's hand as they walked down to the dining room. The fragrance of her favorite dishes made her stomach grumble loudly.
"Haha, start serving the food. A warm bowl of soup first before the main course. Her stomach is a bit weak these days so a bowl of soup would help her digest better."
The maids began to serve the soup and other dishes onto the table. Shi Xue quickly replied, "Ehehe... the soup's hot. I can eat the other dishes first~"
"At least take a few sips of the soup before eating. Or else your stomach will hurt later. You might be fine with that, but my heart would ache every time I hear or see you in pain."
Without further words needed, she quickly picked up her spoon and blew on the soup carefully before taking a few spoonfuls. After she finished half of her soup, she started eating the dishes in front of her delightfully. He smiled seeing her satisfied expression from the food on the table. After she started living with him, he had the habit of bringing her food and observing her eating habits. Recently, he started having the habit of putting food on her plate until she is too full to eat anymore. He specifically reviewed the menu of each course meal before it is made so that each dish would suit her taste.
"You're giving me so much food again! I'll get fat!"
"You're perfect in my eyes."
"Hmph! We'll see you tell me that when I get a huge belly and stuff myself 10 bowls of rice every meal."
"Haha, I could imagine you doing that already."
"You!!"
"I don't mind however you look like. When you have little Xue or little Hei in the future, I'll be glad to feed you as much as you want. The better you eat, the more I enjoy the meal."
She spaced out and imagined herself being pregnant with their child. 'Ahhh... it'll be so heartwarming... having my little girls and boys run around together...smiling happily..'
"If you want to have kids, I can give you as many as you want." he winked.
She blushed instantly and covered her cheeks. "That's far far away!"
"Oh? As long as you are willing, you can be Mrs.Huang anytime you wish. You can also be the mother of our child anytime you wish as well. Plus, you're currently taking the contraceptives that Chen Mu prescribed you. I made sure that the contraceptives you are taking are not harmful to your body. It's made of natural herbs so it'll be no problem at all whenever you wish to conceive." he smiled seductively.
She gulped and turned her head away from his. 'I can't look at him. Can't can't can't can't!! If I do I'll be seduced and we will end up back in bed for two days straight. I'll lose track of time. no, no, no.."
He turned her head back towards him after a few minutes. "Why are you looking away? Is the view over there more attractive than me? hmm?"
"Gahhh!!!! Stop seducing me!!" she covered her face.
"Hahaha!! when did I seduce you?"
"You smiling alone is enough!!! Your voice! Everything!!!"
"I can't control smiling when I'm by your side. If that's called being seductive, then how will you handle it when I actually try?"
"t..then.. the king must fulfill the Queen the whole way!"
"Pfffft.. who's the king in this case? You or me?"
"Of course that'll be me! You're the one who keeps tempting me!"
The couple already forgot about the existence of the maids and butlers behind them. The staff didn't eat yet, but was already full from the couple's sweetness.
Some maids sighed inwardly, 'When will I ever find a sweet guy like master...? It's hopeless.'
