Kaylee held Christopher's arm when they reached the dining room.
His mom is preparing the table together with their maids. When she noticed them, she looked up to see Kaylee and Christopher side by side with Kaylee's hand on her son's arm.
Kaylee's grip tightened when she saw how intimidating Christopher's mom was. When she first met her, she was different, at that time there was no serious relationship between her and Christopher, but now. She is now Christopher's woman, and she's here to be introduced to his family.
She casually smiled as she walked toward her son and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
Christopher held his mom back and gave her a kiss, too. "We're home, Mom."

Liam stepped on the brake and parked the car on the sidewalk. He leaned his head on the steering wheel and closed his eyes.
He can still visualize Charlotte's face when he leaves the Mansion. He didn't know what came into his mind to drive away just like that.
He was used to how Charlotte was. It's just that he doesn't want to get involved in the situation right now. He was well-aware that Charlotte would invite him in if he didn't leave right away. He can't say no to her; this is not the right time to join them there.
He slightly lifted his head, his arm still leaning on the steering wheel, as he took his phone out of his pocket.
Upon unlocking his phone. He smiled as he saw the picture of him and Charlotte in his screen wallpaper.
It was taken during their first meeting when he and Christopher decided to work together. Charlotte was there when he signed the contract under Jarvis Empire as Christopher's personal assistant. Since then, Charlotte has treated her like he was her friend, even though they had just met.
That's one reason he admires Charlotte so much. She's easy to get along with, and the way she treats others is priceless. The fact that she's too bothersome makes her cute.
They have several photos together, but he wanted that first photo of them to be his screen wallpaper. Charlotte asked him to take a photo with him as a token of his first day as her brother's personal assistant. She asked him to take care of her brother and treat him well.
In the photo, Charlotte's left arm is on Liam's, and her right index finger is pinned to Liam's head, with a bright smile on her face.
Liam opened his messages and started to compose a message to Charlotte.
'I'm sorry for leaving immediately. I have work to do, and I just dropped Topher and Kaylee there. I hope everything went well, and enjoy.'
Liam read it once again before sending the message to Charlotte.
After a minute his phone beeps and there was a message from Charlotte.
From: Char
It's okay. I thought you hated me and didn't want to see me anymore. Tell me if I am bothering you. Take care.
Liam sighed and typed a message again.

That makes you so cute.
He smiled as he tapped the send button. He returned his phone to his coat pocket, started the car, and drove away.
