- What do you mean by pregnant? I can't be pregnant. I'm a 100% man doctor. My wife can testify that.
- Let me rephrase that. All those symptoms you are having is because your wife is pregnant. There are husbands that are having the same symptoms as a pregnant wife, not knowing that their wife are expecting a baby. Mike, you're one of those husbands.
- Are you for real doctor? How can that be possible? Jini's pregnant? I'm really gonna be a father?Mike said as he bend down on his knees in front of Jini, kissed her tummy then while he got up to sit down on the chair he said with teary eyes:
- I can't believe I'm gonna be a father.
Those words made Jini and the doctor smile sweetly.
- While the wife might not having pregnancy symptoms in the first semester, the husband might have. Jini do you feel any changes in your body? When did you had your last period?
- Except from having a big appetite, no. My last period I think it was a month ago.
- From what I can see you are in your first semester. You're 5 weeks pregnant. On your second semester you can have an ultrasound to see how the baby is developing and to discover the baby's gender. That's up to you and your husband if you want to know. For know you have to take care about the food you eat, not to get stressed and in the first semester you can't do strenuous exercises. When you start feeling nauseous come see me and I'll prescribe something for the nausea. Mike you have to take good care of your wife now since she's pregnant.
- Doctor I understand about the food and no stress for her, but I don't quite understand about the strenuous exercises. My wife doesn't exercise at all.
- Mike, not those exercises you can do at the gym or outdoors. Jini said.
- Oh. You mean that we can't do that until the baby's born?
- There are a couple of things that both of you need to know since this is the first you're going to have a baby.
- Of course you can roll with Jini between the sheets, but not until her second semester. Until then you have to increase your stamina, since from the second semester of pregnancy Jini's appetite will increase and not for food only.
- Thank you doctor. I'll make sure to take care of my wife.
- You're welcome. But you have to take care of yourself too, Mike. I believe that you're a guy with lots of stamina, but don't take to many cold showers since you can't eat your wife for the next 2 months. Remember this: if you get sick who is gonna take care of your wife?
- Don't worry doctor. My husband will do exactly what you said. I'll make sure of that. Said Jini with a wicked smile on her face.
- Love, is time for us to go. Goodbye doctor, and thank you.
- Goodbye doctor.
- Goodbye Mike and Jini. See you on your next check up. My secretary will let you know when it is.
Jini nodded and went out together with Mike from the doctor's office. Mike was so happy about the fact that he's gonna be a father that as soon they were out of the office he bend down and lifted Jini in a princess style way and carried her like that all the way until they reached their car. Because of their happiness they didn't realized that there was someone following them in a taxi...

ely_n_ely_n Couvade syndrome, also called sympathetic pregnancy, is a proposed condition in which a partner experiences some of the same symptoms and behavior as an expectant mother. I can't post more about this because I can't write on author thoughts everything that I found about this. So if you want to know more just google it.
I don't know much about this or about pregnancy since I'm not married, I hope you understand that some things might not be accurate.
