章節 6: Watching...
Finn blinked slowly and opened his tired eyes, he squinted in the glare of the cold, harsh hospital lights. He was puzzled. "Where am I?" he muttered as he ran a hand through his hair. He got up slowly and walked out into the hallway, as he started walking a nurse saw him and waddled towards him "wow there love, you should get back to your hospital bed and get some rest." She tried gently guiding Finn, but he stood firm.
"Why am I here and what happened? All I remember is seeing that girl..."
The nurse's eyes widened "Oh, you're that young lad, I'm sorry honey, that girl was pronounced dead this morning, some farmer found you two by the roadside and called the police. "Then when the doctor checked you he said there was something very unusual about your body so he wanted to keep you until he can figure out what it is."
Finn gasped quietly "um, thanks but that's not necessary" he started speed walking away before the nurse could answer, whatever happened, he could not stay here. Once he was outside Finn looked around in the dark before reaching in his pocket and grabbing a cigarette, he fumbled with the lighter and almost dropped it when he heard the faint sound of footsteps nearby.
forgetting all about the cigarette Finn peered into the darkness. "Hello, is anyone there?" he listened, the air was still for a moment before Finn heard it again. Footsteps coming closer and closer, then they were gone. Quietly, Finn went over to his motorcycle which was in the parking lot, he started it up and with one more glance around, sped off down the road, although he was not completely focused as he could not shake the feeling of being watched.
