章節 13: Even humans can be monsters
Berto swam to the beach and observed hidden behind the rocks the humans who were fishing for a long time but could not get close to them because for him, human contact was something he did not know very well, thanks to his behavior of being a scavenger and sometimes steal other hunters.
Because of that, Berto never approached and came in contact with other human beings, and at that moment he thought again if he was going to go to that place where so many humans were gathered. What would he do when he appeared before them?
Worse still how they would react to him when he showed his body covered in scales and wearing a metal armor.
After some time Berto noticed that the people fishing were beginning to gather their equipment and left to enter the forest.
Although there was something strange again with that forest because when entering the forest the two people disappeared almost immediately.
"...wait...what?" (Berto)
Berto came out from behind the rock and approached the forest and approached his hand and immediately disappeared when going from the sand to the green area of the forest.

Berto remembered that the armor could use biological material to create something ... although he did not understand well how to do it.

Everything remained silent and nobody answered the question Berto asked.
"A special word maybe?...Something, come on, think of something."

[20 minutes after shouting random words.]
"Union of biological material??" (Berto)
Berto continued to try all kinds of words until one of them made a small note with 10 slots which required 10 of each material.
"...Well, I found the word. But now it only remains to choose the materials." (Berto)

Berto noticed that the number had been reduced again and decided to simply apply his 60 silver scales and 40 silver crocodile teeth.
"Is not such an amount of material for a weapon an exaggeration?" (Berto)
Scales and teeth disappeared into the slots and a weapon began to form in the inventory.
[Ax abomination of silver has been successfully manufactured]
Berto put his hand back in his inventory and removed a shiny silver ax with a really strange and macabre appearance.
The blade of the ax had double edge and was made with scales which were covered with teeth, the handle of the ax was purely made of scales that went in a strange pattern to reach the blade.
Berto observed with doubt the ax, doubts about whether to use it and try to use the weapon despite not knowing if it would run out of ammunition at some point.
"The most likely thing is that if I attack someone with this, instead of cutting it, I will only finish it by tearing it apart."(Berto)
Berto entered the forest and immediately appeared in a strange place which was paved, looking to the left Berto could see that the road was endless and looking to the right Berto could see a city.
"What...how did that city come from?" (Berto)
Berto strangely jumping in the desert was never able to observe such a city, much less the great structure that was in the center of it.
The central structure placed in the city was a huge and high building which stands out from all the others so it would be virtually impossible not to notice it jumping 60 meters high.
Berto decided to walk there since there really was no plan and his desire to leave the abandoned city was bigger.
So he simply left without any idea of what to do, although the world was now full of possibilities for those who were willing to take risks.
Berto continued walking until he began to approach the entrance to the city and noticed that this was surrounded by a huge wall, but something was very wrong with the city.

The helmet visor scanned the human humans in front of the entrance and indicated that they were hostile humans.
Without many ideas Berto decided to enter through the wall of the city that was in the forest.
Berto managed to get to the top of the wall and noticed that there were many people kneeling on the ground with their arms tied behind their back and in front of them was a guy with a spear that was making a kind of discourse but Berto was far away hear what he said.
Berto toured the wall to try to get closer and so listen to something but. At that moment Berto watched as the person with the spear beheaded one of those who was kneeling.

Berto watched as the body of the person collapsed on the ground and something felt strange inside him, as if a small bomb began to count the seconds before exploding.
The subject of the spear again beheaded another as he continued talking, waving his spear from one side to the other.

Berto watched as another cadaver collapsed and his head moved away a couple of meters away from his body.
Berto was totally paralyzed by such behavior on the part of other humans, the world was in ruins because of monsters and dungeons and humans were now worse than monsters.
The man whit the spear again the raise but this time to cut a person in half but just when the blade of the spear was about to come into contact with the person a small girl half in between hugging the man whit the tied hands.
The man whit the spear released a laugh that even Berto in the distance could hear, the person with the spear began to speak again making the other armed around laughing in a mocking way at the effort of the little girl.
The subject of the spear raised the spear and again before it came into contact with the two people the blade was stopped by a sword of another person who appeared from nowhere.
The person who appeared from nothing exuded long black hair and his body was covered with a dark armor which surely protected her very well.
Quickly all the armed people were killed by those who appeared out of nowhere, and they began to cut the bonds of their hands and free them.
Berto had been paralyzed watching how they killed these people without being able to do anything.
"What the hell happened in that world?!"(Berto)
Berto kept asking the same thing over and over again, the world had gone to hell because of the monsters that came out of the dungeons and the humans instead of joining to fight against them decided to fight among themselves.
Berto had yelled that question and a female voice behind him answered him.
"It's simple what happened with this world and the humans, when everything started, the strong sought to be recognized and achieved it, but at the same time they realized that their strength could serve to exercise their power over others." (Unknown woman)
"I am afraid that if you do not have enough strength in this new world, you will never be able to live freely as you wish." (Unknown woman)
"You are not from this city and not in my life, I had seen an armor like yours so it makes me think that you have never killed a human, because if you had done you would have jumped immediately and helped those people." (Unknown woman)
Berto decided not to be quiet and answered trying to hide his fear.
"You really know ... I'm not a murderer to randomly kill people." (Berto)
"Your eyes show that you are afraid...and you squeeze the wall hard to avoid showing how your hands tremble." (Unknown woman)
Berto remained silent because he knew it was true, he had never killed a human, and he had never witnessed the murder of one human to another, not even that of a human against a monster.
Berto tried to get out of the fact that he was paralyzed by fear until he heard footsteps approaching where he was.
"I'm afraid that if you do not have anything else to say, I must liquidate you because nobody here knows you and I do not know if you are sent by that useless hunter Hoggort, I do not even know if you are a threat or not." (Unknown woman)
Berto began to press the wall harder and harder, starting to crack it just knowing that he was going to die and it was not even going to be a monster that was going to kill him, but a human, someone of his own kind.
"Captain, we already take care of all Hoggort's henchmen ... what we do with this one here." (Unknown man)
Berto had both sides of the wall with people which prevented him from escaping without having to throw himself into a free fall into the forest.
But for some reason Berto did not want to flee, he refused to do so.
[Adrenaline levels in the body have reached an extremely high level.]
[The user has become unable to think for himself]
The unknown woman walked away from the people as they slowly approached Berto with their weapons raised.
When the woman left, she began to feel a strange sensation of heaviness, as if something bad was about to happen and a huge tremor was felt on her feet.
The woman immediately turned around, observing that person who had previously been dying of fear, now with her eyes full of anger and without a drop of reason.
"I decide ... how am I going to die in this fucking world ... not you or anyone else." (Berto)
The people behind and ahead of Berto began to back slowly one step at a time.
Berto made an ax appear out of nowhere and began attacking one person after another.
"You wanted a fight...Now I'll give it to you" (Berto)
Berto jumped through the air pointing his ax at the woman, and he raised his sword blocking it but the weight of the ax was too much and made step back taking her wrist as if it hurt.
"What the hell is that strength?" (Unknown woman)
Berto raised his ax and made it descend at full speed but this was deflected by an arrow that hit the blade causing it to hit the ground destroying that section of the wall.
The woman, due to the force of the explosion, fell a couple of meters away and tried to stand up but her body refused to listen to her.
Berto totally blind because of the anger of feeling that he was going to be killed without any reason had stopped reasoning and decided to fight against anyone who messed with him.
Berto looked to the right to track the one who had shot the arrow.
[Hostile target detected]
The visor of Berto's helmet managed to notice where the one who had shot the arrow was and leaped with all his strength walking in the building it was, but the weight of Berto and the strength with which he had jumped made the building it will collapse.
"I Hold the shit of everyone around me during my whole life...Now it's time to feel." (Berto)
Berto got up from the rubble and when the dust dissipated I see the people dead scared in front of him.
Looking back I see what he had done and looking at the wall he could see what he had done there is as well.
Berto looked at his hands with the blood of a couple of people, people who possibly had a family waiting for them.
[The body's adrenaline have returned to normal levels]
[The user has returned to an optimal state]
Berto observed around what he had done and realized that he had become what he had hated and then began to run and broke the entry doors away as fast as he could into the forest Moving away from the city at full speed.
