章節 46: This better be important!

Knock! Knock! Knock!

They heard the sounds of someone knocking at the door.

Jayne snapped out of her senses and pushed Ronnie away and took this as an opportunity to get out of the bed. Her face was totally flustered. She hid her blush and ran into the washroom.

Ronnie cursed the person who was knocking at his door, "This better be important." He angrily muttered with gritted teeth.

He walked towards the door and opened it.

The Butler was the one who had knocked the door. Beads of sweat started rolling down his face. He was shivering at the cold aura emanating from him.

"S-S-Sir??" He stuttered.

Ronnie answered back with a cold tone. "What is it?"

The Butler was almost dead by now. He said, "S-Sir, I thought Madam stayed here. I just came to call her to eat something since both of you haven't eaten anything and breakfast time is long over. I'll leave sir." The Butler told everything with one breath and was about to run for his life.

"Wait!" He heard the same chilly voice.

The Butler stopped in his tracks and turned back with his head lowered.

"Appoint Sarah as Jayne's personal maid. You don't need to come here every time. And don't ever knock on her door until further orders. You have to inform me first." Ronnie strictly told the Butler.

"Understood Sir!" The Butler fled from there after that.

Ronnie closed the door and went inside and called Jayne from outside the bathroom. "Jayne get ready and come down. Breakfast is ready. I'll be waiting for you downstairs." He walked out of the room closing the door behind him.

He went back to his room and changed his clothes. He wore his signature black clothes and went downstairs.

Jayne found a towel in the bathroom closet. She took it and dried herself before wrapping it around her.

Ronnie who was initially heading to the dining area stopped in front of Jayne's room since he'd left his documents and newspaper there. He thought, 'She might still be in the bathroom. Let me go fetch the documents and wait for her downstairs.'

Jayne who had just then come out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around herself opened the cupboard and found a whole new sets of clothes. She was flabbergasted. She looked at the cupboard full of all sorts of clothes totally frozen to her spot, 'When and who arranged all this? I clearly remember there was none if it last night. And today I see at cupboard full of clothes? How's this even possible?'

Exactly at that time Ronnie went to her room and opened the door without knocking. On opening the door he saw Jayne just wearing her towel.

Ronnie was too taken aback to react. This was the first time he'd seen her like this. Even when they were staying in the tribal hut, Aunty Mo or any other woman was taking care of her. After she recovered, she herself would bathe.

Both of their hearts started beating faster. Neither of them moved or spoke. Both stood frozen to their spots.
