章節 65: She's not responding
Sorrow, love, disappointment, hope… various emotions clouded his thoughts throughout the whole drive home that afternoon.
He was glad that he met her… falling in love with her… and falling more in love with her every moment they were together…
But now… after the talk with her grandmother, it broke his heart. Why was this not reported in the intelligence material? He had his prided team to investigate everything about her. Was his men inefficient? Or did she have a better team that could erase such vital information even from a governmental body?
By the time he reached the Dragon Mansion, it was already dinner time. After the meeting with her grandparents, Nazreen could not calm himself. Hence, he drove around the city to clear up his mind and calm his heart down.
The drive also allowed him to think through and came with a decision.

Knock knock knock
Nazreen knocked on Hidayah's bedroom door.
Silence.
He knocked on the door again, this time while saying, "assalamualaikum…" still no answer. His heart started to race, his mind going wild. He took his chance and tried to turn the knob. Click. Success!
Nazreen pushed the door inwards and looked around the room, there's no one around… he took a step in and greeted the room again… still no answer.
Nazreen stepped forward and walked towards her washroom. He could hear a soothing instrumental song playing. He knocked on the door.
Silence
He tried to open the door, and it pried open.
He looked around and saw a head leaning on the side of the tub while her eyes shut close. He walked towards the woman and noticed that she was naked in the tub filled with rose-scented bath water. A glass of red wine sitting by the side on a golden pushcart with her phone connected to Spotify.
Nazreen knelt by the tub and tried to wake her up by calling her name softly. No reaction. He called out to her in a slightly louder voice. Still no response.
He reached out to her shoulders and shake her lightly. Suddenly he saw the woman taking a sudden deep breath and nearly sink into the tub. He gripped on her shoulders to prevent her from slipping.
"Hey, are you okay?" He asked. Hidayah was surprised with his presence in the room and when she remembered that she was naked under water with no foam to cover her, blood rushed up her head and her face flushed red automatically.
"Are you having a fever? And you okay?" Nazreen's brows crumpled up when he saw her going red fearing for her to fall ill.
Hidayah covered her breasts with her left arm and her lower region with her right hand, "what are you doing in my room?" She scolded the uninvited man.
"You didn't come down for dinner and we got worried… are you sure you are fine?" He answered while putting the back of his hand against her forehead.
When he felt that she was not running a fever, he quickly pulled the towel from the rack and pulled Hidayah up and out of the tub and swiftly covered her with the towel.
"Quickly dry yourself and get dressed. Everyone is waiting downstairs." After making sure she is properly covered, he quickly left her room and rushed to his room and close the door behind him.
His heart was beating so fast! A warm tingling feeling spread in his body…
Oh Allah… Still my heart…
He was a young healthy man! How could seeing his halal wedded woman naked not make him feel lustful?! 😍😍
