章節 38: A demon doesn't have the heart
The white coat doctor gives a lollipop to Fu Mian who is trembling with fear. "Don't be afraid, little girl. It will only sting once."
Fu Mian sniffles with her mouth closed. She doesn't take the lollipop. Her eyes are fixed on the syringe. There's a zero rank monster strapped on the white bed. Fu Mian's scent is driving it crazier. It is violently trying to get free to drink from Fu Mian.
She is too afraid, unable to scream or cry. When will her father come?
"Princess wouldn't take it from a human." A woman glares at Fu Mian. "She would take it from a vampire."
"I will never understand why she thinks that she's his daughter." Standing beside the woman dressed in black, Victor is playing with a knife. He eyes Fu Mian darkly. "You are a human, girl. You are born to eradicate the vampires. Your father stole you from your birth parents and kept you with him because he was afraid that you would be used against him."
Fu Mian knows that she isn't a vampire. She is human. But, she didn't know that she was stolen from her birth parents.
Seeing her pale face, Victor laughs at her. "You didn't know, did you? You are not his daughter. He's a demon. A demon doesn't have the heart to accept a human as his daughter. Your scent must have blinded him. He is probably raising you to take you to his bed once you grow up."
Fu Mian blinks at them. Being so young, she doesn't understand the full meaning of Victor's words. What does he mean by taking to bed? Her father had let her sleep with him on his bed whenever she had a nightmare. He would stroke her head until she fell asleep.
The woman slaps the back of Victor's head. "Don't say these kinds of things in front of a little child."
"Did I say wrong? She should know these things." Victor rolls his eyes. "Vampires are sexual creatures. I heard that the king has a mate now. What about the other 8 vampires? The vampire who brought her out of the castle seems pretty attached to her. They can't drink her blood. I am sure that they just want to fuck her when she grows up."
Doctor Oh picks up a glass bottle and throws it on Victor's face. He dodges it smoothly. "Doctor Oh, why is your temper so bad? Am I lying? Look at her. She's going to be quite pretty in the future. We all know how much vampires like to -"
A second glass bottle comes in his direction. Victor runs out of the room before the third one could hit his head.
The doctor turns to Fu Mian and apologizes, "Little girl, don't mind him. His brain is not used properly."
Fu Mian says nothing. Her eyes are on the syringe in the doctor's hand.
