The small hot full of electric fans police station is filled with the sound of small talk, coming and going steps, typing and the smell of cheap coffee from the machine pouring it down constantly on the side, and it all felt right at home with me.

At least if I could ignore a presence in front of me, which I did by not looking up by focusing on the papers and work in front of me or I would find the gargoyle staring right at me with an ever lasting puppy smile on his face rested at his intertwined hands, glimmering eyes enchanted by everything I did, no matter how silly or mundane.

I would raise an eyebrow every time we made eye contact, but he would just smile at me, and I can see the tip of his tail waving back and forth behind him, sometimes earning curses from the cops as they tripped on it.

Well, at least he is clothed now, that's a major improvement right?
