章節 6: Chapter 5
"Yuuma this is my twin brother, Ikki. Ikki this is Yuuma, my girlfriend" Issei introduced me to Yuuma with a big smile.
I looked at Yuuma with a skeptical look. I admit she certainly is a beauty. She even rivaled Akeno-sempai's beauty. As expected from a Fallen Angel.
"Hi!" Yumma smiled and extended her hand to me. I have to stay calm. If I start asking too many questions I will have a light spear impaling my stomach before ise. Lucky I was good at Masking my emotions even in this and my previous life. I smiled a bit and shook her hand.
"Hyoudou Ikki. I don't know what you see in my brother but take care of him Okay?." I said in a warm tone while Ignoring Ise's glare.
"Your brother is a nice person. And cute too." Yuuma said while giggling and Ise blushing.
"Yeah. The reason why he not popular is because his pervert nature. But if he's with you looks like he will be able to control it" I chuckled a bit
"I will do my best!" Said Yuuma looking at Ise and smiling.
"Well, I'm going to the library, have fun Ise, Yuuma-san". I said and started to walk past them. Before I leave I lean up to Ise's ear and tell him in a low tone of voice."Be careful she's wearing a fake smile."
I quickly step away from him. Tomorrow is their date, i hope i didn't change... As much as I loathed the idea to let my brother die. he seemed to be much happier as a Devil than a Human.
When I started to walk to the library. I noticed I was being watched by something or someone. How can I tell you ask? Well, it's simple really, I am not only training in martial arts I am also training in Ki. I got a scroll from an old man that was wondering the country . I also asked him for a few scrolls for the basics of senjutsu and magic.
I also noticed I am not normal in this world. You know after I read the book about basic magic, I understand it completely and near instantly too. You know what's weird? I was able to revise and enhance all of the basic spells in the book. and I was also able to predict attacks when I am In Combat. Crazy huh?
Why am I here? For what am I supposed to do in this world? Why do I have such talent in magic? Though my talent in combat and magic may not seem special if I recall my future enemies are Fallen angels, Evil gods, and Devils.
I am still training in magic and ki. Believe it or not, I am still surprised I can punch a bolder and break it with just one first... Anyway, let's not get off topic here if I have Supreme magic talent wouldn't that mean I could do magic from other anime? If I was in my previous life I would scoff to that idea. But now I am in a world where devils rule the school so... Yeah...
I took out a pencil from my bag and tried the Requip magic that Erza uses.
I focus my mana on the pencil and covered it with my mana. And that's when I heard a Snaping sound, I opened my eyes to see my pencil is broken in half. Looks like I need to train my control and execution.
I then turned to the window and see a red-haired woman and a black haired too...
Is that Rias-senpai and Sona-senpai?
I blinked once and suddenly they were gone...
It's definitely them... I have no doubt...
I sighed to myself and turned back to the path I was walking towards. The library is a quiet place. That was a calm place to sleep.
[With Rias.]
"Did he see us?" Rias asked Sona
"Maybe.. I mean he kept staring at the place where we standing at before.." Sona answered to Rias while shifting her glasses.
"He is intriguing... He and his brother" Rias said and Sona nodded.
"Yeah but Ikki is much more interesting... Unlike his brother, he noticed that his brother is dating a Fallen Angel." Sona pointed out.
"Ah yes. He also beat you a few times in chess, didn't he? He seems pretty smart. I won't be surprised if he noticed something strange about this school." Rias chuckled and Sona blushing when she recalls her loss against Ikki.
"Yeah. He quite good in strategy.. Though I am still leading against him. But he's not bad." Sona commented and shifted her glasses yet again. Rias seeing this smirked.
"Is that blush I see? Awww. Does Sona have a crush?" Rias grinned
"W-W-Wha?! D-Don't be ridiculous!" Sona protested making Rias laugh
before her expression turned grim.
"But Ikki isn't the only one who is sharp... I'm afraid the Fallen Angels will go after him too" Rias said in a grim tone and Sona nodded back at her stoic face.
"I agree we will keep an eye on them," Sona said.
[Next day (Ikki's POV)]
"Today is the day." I murmured.
Issei's date is today... Today he's going to be dead... Why do I feel like an ass?
Well if you let someone you know as a brother and let him die... Yup, I am an ass.
"Hey! Ikki I am going to be leaving soon! Do you want something? He asked.
"Ah. No.No.No I don't want to mess up your date by you running an errand for me. Just come home safe I feel like something bads going to happen somehow" I waved my hands and laughed.
"Relax! It's not like I am going to die." Ise joked I almost choked after hearing that.
"Just be careful ok?" I sighed and took out my sword.
This is a gift from that old man that was I was talking about earlier. His name is Sora, or as I like to call him Sora-sensei he's a veteran swordsman from Kyoto. He's quite good at manipulating ki. He gave me this sword because I trained harder then Ise.
"You're going to train?" Ise blinked and I nodded.
"Yes. I am bored and I haven't moved my muscles in a while so it will be fine. Also, don't forget to train. You've neglected 4 years of training." I said as he nodded. Although Ise is not as good as me, he's still one level above the standards.
I asked him." it has been a while since we trained together, hasn't it? How about we train together after school?"
"Sure!" he said.
"It will be fun." I say. Ise is a good younger brother despite his perverted nature. He's protective of me sometimes. He even helped me out with my fangirl problem. He says that his pervertedness is useful for driving all the girls away.
"Yeah! See you later Ikki!" He said and then left.
I sighed and brought my sword to the Kendo club at school. I always use the club on Sundays.

When I arrived I noticed there was noise coming from the club. Who else trains on a Sunday except me? I then slowly peek inside.
I see two women sparing from what it looks like real Swords.
The first one is a woman with shoulder-length, reddish-brown hair and brown eyes. Her hair features swept bangs and an antenna sticking out from the top
The second was also a woman with black, straight, knee-length hair with split bangs and light brown eyes
These two...
Suddenly the black haired girl stops moving and turns to my direction.
"Whos there?! Show yourself!" She demanded. I then slowly slide the door open. Still wearing my stoic face.
"Sorry for spying, I heard noise coming from inside the Dojo and wanted to know who it was," I said in a calm tone of voice.
"Ah, Ikki-kun!" Tomoe Meguri greeted me and I nodded back at her.
"It's okay Hyoudou-san. Though why are you here?" Tsubaki Shinra asked me.
"I always come here on Sundays Though last Sunday I didn't come here due to family business. I see you two seems has talent in sword. Especially you Tsubaki-sempai. Why you didn't join in the Kendo club?" I asked
"I see. Well, we are busy with Student Council work so we can't join the Kendo club. How about you? Last time i heard you defeat a Kendo trainer correct? Why not continue?" Tsubaki asked back.
"Well. I didn't want to join because there isn't a thing that they can teach me. So I decided to train alone" I said simply and place my bag along with my bokken and sword to on the floor.
"You also have a real sword?" asked Tomoe.
"Yes. It was a gift from my real teacher. Me along with Ise trained in martial arts before. I was the one who surpassed my teacher so he gave this to me" I answered before releasing my sword. I take a glance and notice that Tsubaki seems to observe me acutely.
"Hyoudou-san how about a spar?" Tsubaki asked me making me blinked.
"Sure if you say so," I said nonchalantly but inside I was kinda panicking. I mean if i recall devils are supposed to be stronger than a normal human! And Tsubaki was a Queen at that!
"Real swords or bokken?" I asked.
"Since I didn't bring any bokkens with me, you don't mind real swords, don't you?"Tsubaki said and I mentally gulped.
I took a stance" shall we?" I asked. I have to take this seriously or my life will be in danger.
"That was Battojutsu" Tsubaki pointed out making me feel surprised but Tomoe seemed to not understand.
"I surprise you know this stance Tsubaki-sempai. It was a very old style that my master taught to me. How do you know about It?" I asked
"I will tell you after this battle," She said calmly much to my annoyance but I nodded and kept a calm face on the outside.
" The one who draws first blood is the winner! Ready?!"
Tsubaki nodded as I did too.
"GO!"
In an instant, I see Tsubaki charge straight for me! This is bad! She's too fast! If not for my good eyesight and my instincts I wouldn't have been able to see her!
I quickly unsheathed my sword and block her attack. She seemed surprised for a second but then she spun the edge of my sword in order to make it fall. But I follow it and spin the hilt of the sword making it seem as if I knew what she was going to do.
I quickly push her away and jump back slightly. My sword still spinning mid-air I catch it and then dashed towards her. I won't let her attack. After all, Offense is the best defense. I tried to slash her but then she blocked it. She pushed my sword up towards the sky and had the intent to cut open my stomach. Before she could do that I took a step back though she still managed to cut my shirt a little.
I attack her again with the intent to cut her face. But she raised her sword and blocked it again. She then tried to slash me but my eyes caught her movement. My intuition is telling me she's holding back.
"You're holding back," I said while smirking a bit.
"You are too," Tsubaki said.
"Hm!"
I then take a breath and focus Senjutsu on my legs. I Slowly let my breath out. I changed my stance and sharpened my eyes.
'What is that stance?!' Tsubaki questioned. In her mind. I quickly dash to her with the intent to pierce her neck. I can see the surprise on her face. She was lucky she had quick reflexes as a devil. She raised her sword to swat my sword away.
Unfortunately, for her, I was able to cut a little of her skin on her neck which resulted in blood.
"I win." I declared calmly but inside I was jumping with joy. I can't believe it! I won! But on the outside, I kept my calm face as I always do.
"Ah.. Ah?... Ah! Ikki-kun is the winner!" declared Tomoe with her tone filled with shock. I see Tsubaki still dazed and so I had to snap my fingers in front of her.
"Senpai?" I called her and she blinked before a blush appeared on her face.
"I see you won. That last move really surprised me... You're very fast." Tsubaki commented. ' Ikki's speed is is like a knight. It's almost on par with Kiba. And to think a mere human could do that.' Tsubaki thought.
"Yeah. It's is but I have to concentrate a little before using it." I said calmly while Tomoe was approaching us.
"That stance before... What was that?" Tsubaki asked.
"Its something I learned in my free time. Now sempai answer me this how do you know about Battojutsu?" I asked in fake suspension. I need to act clueless the devils don't know I know that there... You know devils.
"Well. You could say I am interested in Kenjutsu history. Now it's my turn. Where you learn that move?" Tsubaki asked me.
" I learned it from a scroll. I got the scroll from an old man that was wandering the country." I answered and its true
"Scroll? You mean by just reading it? No trainer? No one teaching you at all? Just from an old scroll?!" Tsubaki asked in a clearly shocked tone of voice and I nodded.
'He was able to learn an old style by only reading it?! He's good in strategy, he has good grades, he's also good at Solving complex problems Easily! How much potential he have?! Does Hyoudou Issei also has this much potential?!' Tsubaki thought with shock.
"Wow! You must be pretty good then!" Tomoe praised me and i chuckled. Suddenly I felt some kind of pang in my heart that made me flinch for a second.
I then turn and see the outside it was already dark. If i recall Issei date!
"Hyoudou-san?" Tsubaki called me as she notices I seem to turn a bit pale.
"Ah? N-Nothing! I just felt something bad happened" I said quickly. Rias Gremory... I hope you save Ise..
"Something bad?" Tsubaki narrowed her eyes and i nodded grimly
"Hopefully it just my feeling," I said in a worried tone.
"Don't worry Ikki-kun! I sure nothing happened!" Tomoe pats my back and I smile softly at her.
"Thank you Tomoe-san" I smiled and she blushed a bit
"Hehehe" She stuck out her tongue and I turn to Tsubaki.
"Well sempai if i recall i won because you were holding back. Care for a rematch?" I asked and Tsubaki smirk a bit.
Somehow deep inside I felt some regret asking her.
[Later.]
I am beat... Tsubaki definitely didn't waste her chance. She's really strong! My eyes hurt... My backs sore... And my arms are too. I sighed to myself, looks like I'm not going to school tomorrow.
"You okay Ikki-kun?" Tomeo asked me.
Ah yes, Tsubaki asked Tomoe to escort me home just in case if I collapse I the middle of going home. But I know the real reason is that there is something after me. I can feel it watching me when i walk out of the Kendo club. If my guess is correct then the ones who are after me are the Fallen Angels.
There's a chance they're also going to kill me... Great... I hate Murphy's law! I know I didn't want a boring life but still, this is ridiculous!
Of course, I have to act clueless and try to reject her offer though, in the end, I will accept it.
"I'm fine Tomoe-san. You can go home if you want" I smiled at her and she shook her head playfully.
"Nope! I will accompany you till you reach your place!" Tomoe declared. I sighed a bit. I can feel the Fallen Angel's presence fading away.
"Here we are." I said to Tomoe who look at my house. It's a simple house.
"Why don't you come in Tomoe-san? Make yourself comfortable." I offered and opened the house doors.. Tomoe seems to want to protest but I quickly grab her hand and pull her in.
Mom! Dad! I'm home!" I yelled.
"Eh! I-Ikki-kun! I-I have to go home!" Tomoe protested, I turn to her and put on my stoic face.
"I insist! This at least what I can do to say thank you." I said in a stern tone
"A-Ah!" Tomoe spluttered
"Ikki. Your home already?" Mom comes from the kitchen and looked at us. "Oh my who your friend?"
"Her name is Tomoe Meguri mom. She's my Kendo friend." I introduced. Tomoe bowed to my mother.
"My what a polite girl. Why don't you come in? We will make tea" Mom said and then we enter the house.
I notice Tomoe seemed a bit nervous so I pat her head lightly. She was way shorter than me so I didn't have a problem with that.
I then notice some presence in Ise's room. The Ki was dark.. So i safely assumed it was Rias. I sighed in relief inwardly, looks like I didn't change anything...much.
"Ah who this young girl?" Dad comes from another room and takes a look at Tomoe. "Is she your girlfriend?"
I rolled my eyes, no wonder Ise is a pervert. He gets it from dad. Tomoe was blushing from my father words and lowered her head.
"Dad! Don't tease her! We're only Kendo friends." I scolded dad who laughed.
"Yeah, yeah sorry. Who are you young girl?" Dad asked
"Tomoe Meguri sir!" Tomoe introduce herself to dad and dad nodded.
"Here the tea" Mom came and servers the tea.
"Ah mom. Where Ise?" I asked and mom turned to me.
"Your brother just come home from... His friend's place. He seems bit tired so he went to sleep first" Mom answered in a puzzled tone. and I noticed it. I about to ask but suddenly I remember that Amano Yuuma's existence is being removed so I shut my mouth and nodded.
Wait!
How can i remember about Yuuma then? I mean.. I know it won't affect mythical being but... Why am I not affected?! Is it because of the time i spent with Tsubaki and Tomoe? Yeah maybe because of that.
"Ikki?" Mom called me and i turn to her.
"Ah sorry i just thinking about something... I will check on Ise later then" I commented and mom nodded before she turns to Tomoe
"Tomoe-san. What year are you in?" Mom asked
"I'm in the second year like Ikki-kun and Ise-kun" Tomoe answered
"Oh? Care to tell us about them?" Dad asked while he took a look at me with an "I got you" face making my eyes twitched for a moment.
"Ah! Ikki-kun is fine! He was always popular in school! And for Ise-kun..." Tomoe paused and chuckle sheepishly making Dad laugh while mom sighed.
"See! Ise is a lot like you! because of your pervert nature, he became like this now!" Mom scolded dad who now was rubbing his head.
"Hahaha! And Ikki takes a lot from you! Except he more talented!" Dad said sheepishly.
Tomoe giggling seeing them argue while I only sighed and rubbed my temples.
Parents are always like this when they hear about their sons.
After that Tomoe started to tell my parent about me and Ise in school which makes dad cry in pride sometimes and mom smile at me and also scold dad about Ise while dad also protested about me being too stoic in school. After a few moments, Tomoe decides to go home and I decided to go to my room to sleep. I then take glance at Ise's room and feel there still some kinda presence inside there..
I sighed and enter my room to go to sleep.
