,,,they have four pairs of eyes watching them.
Carlota tried to cover her grand daughter's eyes but Lexie wiggled out of it causing a slight commotion that the couple broke apart on their sweet moments.
"Yippey! Mama and Dada are kissing!" Lexie gave a victorious yell while Carah blush and turned away in embarrassment, Zander was a little pissed off being interrupted. Stella and Steve was amuse and Carlota chastised the child. " Just where did you get that idea of what they are doing young lady?"
"They always yell at each other when they met. Isn't they are kissing meaning they are not angry and fighting." Lexie reason out.
Carah and Zander realized that their bickering didn't escape from their daughter's observant eyes.
"pumpkin your mom and dad are not fighting there are something that married couple do to be able to settle things for them to understand and love each other." Steve explains.
"So Mama and Dada love each other,,, it means we are going to live together... Yehey!! I'll be having a brother and a sister soon!!!" The adults was stunned by the girls reasoning and no one has the heart to correct her seeing her happiness. While Carah and Zander exchange baffled looks with one another.
"Alright lunch is ready, come to the dining room." Stella broke in the scene.
Later that night while Carlotta was getting Lexie ready for bed, Carah was deep in thought standing in the balcony while breathing the fresh air from the cool breeze of the evening.
She was startled by the arms that hold her shoulders, she turn and saw her mother's knowing look.
"Ma..." She lean on her comfortable arms and stay there for a while.
"Lexie is sleeping?" she ask after a while.
"Yes,,, can we talk sweety."
"I think, I have the idea about what."
"Come inside, it's cold out here."
"OK"
"Sweetie, it's about time for you to have your priorities set."
"What do you mean priorities Mom?"
"Of what is important to you your daughter's happiness or your revenge against Zander. Your family and your career or your obsession of knowing the truth about your father."
"Mom..."
"Sweetie, you don't seem to observed that these things are eating you up, and Lexie is in the the stage that she needs a father to pamper her and a mother to see about her needs the emotional as well as the material aspects."
"Mom I'm confused."
"I can see that you still have feeling for Zander, if not you won't be able to disregard all those other men who are interested in you romantically."
"I do admit that there's no body before or after him, but how can I forget the past? I'm afraid to trust and get hurt again.
" You don't have to forget the past, just forgive and learn from it. If you forget you will be bound commit the same mistakes once more." Carah was astonished to learn how her mother view on these situation.
"Do you mean to say I have done some mistakes in the past?"
"Sweetie, what I'm just saying is that, you hide the truth of your marriage until it was too late. We, your parents could have handled it well should we have known."
"I'm so sorry Mom."
"Anyway its 'water under the bridge' now. What I'm saying now is that you should learn to weigh things and let 'bygones be bygones' look forward to the future, if Zander holds a bigger part if your heart then you have to decide can you live with or without him think about Lexie and the impact it will have on her before you finally have to decided."
"Thanks Mom, but I'm more confused now."
"Take you time Sweetie, set all cares free and listen to your heart then discern with your mind. I hope you find the right decision."
"I hope so too Mom."
Carah was still tossing and turning trying to get some sleep, thinking how to go about the decision after her heart to heart talk with her mother.
