"Mr. Reeves, are these documents authentic? You know that we can't publish slander this serious, especially when the people involved go all the way to the top. If we do publish this and it turns out to be slander our careers would be gone."
Nodding at the woman that asked that question he slightly smirked as he responded.
"Of course, every single piece of information in those folders is real, and while if it turned out false you would probably have your careers ruined since it is all real I bet you all know what benefits it could do to your careers."
Hearing that it was all real, the reporters' breath started to get heavy as it finally dawned on her the importance of the documents right next to her. Even though she wanted to believe him, she still had her doubts.
"If such horrible things really did happen, wouldn't they be arrested? There would be countless victims, surely they wouldn't be able to cover it all up?"
Laughing coldly at her question, Julian sneered as he answered.
"You really think those governments and police forces would do anything? They don't care as long as they get their percentage, besides, all the victims are incredibly poor people, who would bother to help them? Even if there is a lot of victims they don't have any money to go find someone to help them, and even if they did have the money, if they ever decide to complain or try to press charges the will probably be arrested and sent to prison, They don't have any rights, nor the power to change their fate. Without any outside help, they are unable to stop what is happening."
Receiving such a sharp rebuke the journalist decided to sit back down and read the rest of the folders. The more they read, the more astonished they got.
By the time that they finished all of the files, their faces had gone green and red with disgust and anger, mixed in with the documents where piles of pictures which gave them a visual presentation which invoked feelings that the statistics and documentation never could.
"Now that everyone has finished looking through the folders shall we discuss what we are going to do now?"
Receiving no voices of disagreement Julian continued.
"The entire project will be split into three parts, the first part will be taken care of by all of you immediately. Your job is to split up the work and start releasing articles about the victims of the offenders on the surface. By the time that the world finds out what is happening that people on top will try to distance themselves from the incident. We will then wait to see what kind of excuses they will make and give them some time to calm down before releasing the information on the main offenders and victims."
When Julian talked about releasing the information Julian showed a bloodthirsty simile.
"By the time that they realize what is happening the entire incident will have become too big for them to handle, it is then that the third and last stage of the plan will spring into action. The third stage is actually the easiest for you as you just need to post a link to a website on your news outlets, the website will have the names, pictures, and a full list of offences of the people that we are accusing. We will also include some private information such as where they live, where they work, and their hometown. This way everyone will be able to find out who committed these offences and whether or not they actually got convicted."
As soon as Julian finished speaking he got bombarded with questions. He didn't really care though, after handing everything off on his secretary Julian walked out the door and slowly strolled towards the elevator.
His sparkling green eyes stared forward but his mind had drifted somewhere else. As Julian walked out the door and slowly strolled towards the elevator, the warm sun started to softly shine brightly on Julian's front. Dazzling as it was, the radiant sun only served to highlight the darkness resting on his back.
While his feet gently rose and fell as he was elegantly walking, Julian pulled out a pair of earplugs and his smartphone, he swiped over to his music app and picked a song that he was familiar with.
The lyrics of "Please forgive me" by Bryan Adams softly drifted into his ears as he recalled his sort, but sweet encounter with Zhi Rou.
When he first heard the song he thought Bryan Adams was full of himself, after all, why should he have to be forgiven for loving someone? Wasn't it everyone's right to choose his or her love? Even if the love wasn't reciprocated, it wasn't anything to scoff at or ask forgiveness for.
By coincidence, he was listening to this song when he first saw Zhi Rou. It was the first time that he ever felt such a foreign emotion, his heart started to speed up and his legs started to tingle like they wanted nothing more than to walk over to her.
He had just finished putting away his headphones when she had actually started walking over to him with her friend.
The next few moments were a blur, he didn't even remember how she ended up falling onto him or what he said to her. He only remembered the soft feel of he waist and cheeks blushed in a red hue like a peach.
The rest of the day was like a fairy-tale, unfortunately, this one did not have a happy ending. When he realized that he could not keep him by his side and that their might be a time in the future that she would have to leave him he decided that he would become someone truly powerful like his mother.
When he decided this though, he did not know the current state of affairs in his mothers 'empire'. It was only when he got off the plane and saw the strict security that he realized that things might not be so simple.
Hard work doesn't always create miracles, he would have to give up on his original play of talking to her every day on the phone any flying over to meet her on the days that he was free and hope that by the time that he was finished with the work she still remembered him.
In the midst of his daydream, Julian was interrupted by someone snapping their long white fingers with blue nails in front of his face.
Startled he looked at the woman who rudely awoke him from his memories, seeing who it was he furrowed his brow and asked, "Why are you here, I thought you went home?"
