She owned a shabby looking bar on the island called the "Mermaid Temptress"
Like him, she went to the island to start anew. She was also there to mend her broken heart.
They started to get to know each other and had became close.
One fateful night, they drank their hearts out to celebrate his birthday.
As they get drunk, things started to escalate and get all steamy between them.
Indeed, misery really loves company.
In their hazy intoxicated state they had mistaken each other as the person they yearned for the most.
They passionately kissed each other, hands roamed their hot bodies feeling each other as they thirst for human touch.
Lust both consumed their drunken minds. He looked at her, straight in her almond shaped eyes and Ivy's image appeared in his thoughts.
Her sweet smile and her piercing gaze. He embraced 'Ivy' tightly. He missed her so much.
Lily did the same. She kissed him thinking of her ex lover. Filling up her loneliness, making Wesley as a replacement.
They exchange ragged hot breaths as they called out the name of the person they love.
They both had been succumbed to the burning fires of carnal desires.
That night, by accident they had conceived his son Charlie.
After learning that he got her pregnant Wesley Kang decided to go back to S City together with Lily.
At first they both agreed to be married out of obligation as Charlie's parents.
But as time goes by, they slowly fell in love with each other.
The wounds from his past started to heal all thanks to his wife Lily.
From time to time, Wesley would think about the times he spend with Ivy.
He would wonder where she is, what she's doing and other things.
He might be happily married, but Ivy Chang still has a special place in his heart.
She might've rejected him, but she's still his friend. A friend who had taught him a lot.
She had taught him how to love. How to feel pain and how to move on.
She was his sweetest hello and his hardest goodbye.
His first love, was unfortunately, an unrequited one.
But it's a colorful, meaningful one.

I'm hurting as I write this arc.my heart ache for both Wesley and Ivy. TBH I ship them. But in life some things just aren't meant to be.
Some were lucky to have found love and be loved. But others don't have that type of luck.
Sometimes we met people by accident only to learn valuable life lessons from them.
I hope you like how things worked out between them . I mean they didn't end up together but they both treasured their friendship.
