When Ephine's endless arrows neared, he simply created a barrier made out of darkness in front of him, which absorbed all of the dangerous attacks. As the attacks kept hitting the dark barrier, darkness mana started to engulf the angel's body. After the span of a few seconds had passed, all of the wounds covering the angel's body were completely gone. This frightening ability had once more shown itself, completely undermining all of Ephine's hard work.

But even if that was the case, she wasn't disheartened, she knew this was probably going to happen from the start, but she still had hope. There had to be some sort of drawback to such a strong ability, if there wasn't, then they were probably screwed, but she wasn't going to give up hope anytime soon. She wasn't alone either, and there were people to help and support her in her fight.
