章節 131: What are we?
As Sophie keep her newly gained access card, Sophie thought of something. She turned her head around to look at Shawn straight with a clear anxious in her eyes.
"Shawn, two questions. Can I?"
Heard Sophie's request, Shawn nodded in agreement. He placed down his glass on the coffee table and giving her his fullest attention.
"What are we?"
Sophie asked Shawn without hitting around the bushes. What are their relationship - who are her to him when she definitely knew his position in her life?
Shawn looked at her with a clear conscious. He had already made up his mind previously but didn't have the chance to realize it. He wanted her in his life, period. So, whatever relationship she wanted them to be, he will do it. No question.
Shawn held out his hand, placed it on hers and firmly grab them. He replied to Sophie's question without any hesitation.
"We are whoever you wanted us to be, Sophie."
"Even as my bed warmer with no strings attached?"
"Even as your mansl*t or your gig*lo. I'll be whatever you wanted us to be."
Shawn repeated the same sentences twice, showing his dedication to hers. Mirth formed in her eyes, she once imagined what life would be if she spends her life with Shawn in her previous life and thought it was an impossible dream. But now she was giving a second chance in life, she did imagine growing old with Shawn next to her.
She couldn't hold back her mixed feelings, thus a few pearls escape from the corner of her phoenix eyes. Shawn noticed her tears, leaned over closer, cupped her chin upwards and slowly wiped off her fallen pearls and kiss her on her lips gently.
That kiss somehow calms Sophie down. She opens her eyes, reflecting Shawn in her eyes and give a short subtle kiss in return. Both Sophie and Shawn looked at each other and begin to chuckles.
Love in the air.
