章節 24: Help me
After hearing the news, Derek turned to his assistant and said "Help me trace back everything. " His assistant nodded "Right away Mr Lim. " Derek then turned to Emma and comfort her, "It's ok, everything will be alright. " Emma's body were shaking and her face was pale.
"Why? Out of so many people, why him? I don't understand, why would someone want to kidnap him? " Then, someone called Derek. "Hello? " "You must be very curious where that boy is am I right? " "Who are you? " That guy did not reply Derek, then Little Dumpling shouted "Uncle Derek, help me! " "Little guy, don't panic, mummy and Uncle Derek is coming." Then, he hung up his phone.
"Track down the place right now! " "Yes sir! " They got the location, it's an abandoned factory near the company. They drove there. Derek drove 180 kilometers per hour. He was as worried as Emma although Little Dumpling is not his son.
When they got there, the factory door was actually opened. After taking a deep breath, Emma turned to Derek and said "Let's go in. " "Ok. " He replied. He looked at Emma, her hands were shaking. His heart ached. He hold Emma's hand and said "It's ok everything will be fine. "
When they went in someone laughed very loudly and said "Well, well, well guess who's here? Emma Chia and Derek Lim. " "Mummy, Uncle Derek! Save me! " "Shut up didn't you saw that I'm talking to them?" That guy slapped Little Dumpling's face as soon as he finished his sentence.
"It's ok Little Dumpling, mummy is here. " Emma looked at him with tears in her eyes. "What do you want? " asked Derek.
That guy looked at him and said "Hmmm let me think. Give me 50% of the shares of The Lim Corps. " Although the Lim Corps might start to collapse if Derek agreed to it, but, he still said yes, for the sake of Little Dumpling. "No Derek! Don't! " Emma turned to that mysterious guy and said "Take the Chong Corps, this had nothing to do with the Lims. " That guy smiled, "Sure, why not. "
He gave back Little Dumpling to Emma and Derek. While he was trying to called Ethan that their plan had worked,someone knocked his head and tied him up. When he woke up, he was tied to the chair, in a very dark room.
Then, someone turn on the dim lights. "So, who sent you here? " That guy only can hear Derek's voice but can't see his face because the room was still dark although they had turn on the lights. "I'm not going to say! " Derek lost his patience.
He went to him and started beating him up, "Will you talk now?" "Fine, I will. Just stop hitting me beating me. " Derek smirked and said, "Tell me who is it. " The guy looked at him and said " That person who sent me here is your biggest enemy. "
