The rest of the time went by in a daze for Laz. He did everything he needed to do, but he was on auto-pilot the whole time. That didn't stop him from memorizing everything he could about layout, lax points in security or anything that might be beneficial. He still didn't know exactly what he was going to do... but now the question of not doing anything had been erased from his mind.

After the day, Laz got his real badge and several changes of uniforms which would remain on sight in his locker at all times. They would then be washed and clean by they prison service so that the guards never needed to worry about it. After getting his new schedule, Laz was released for the day.

Millie saw him off and Laz had to resist the urge to hit her considering the way she just innocently smiled about everything. It was only now that Laz understood that Millie was anything but some naive, innocent young woman working as a secretary.
